Decorate Your Porch or Door With a Fourth of July Farmhouse Star Wreath!

We live in a neighborhood where everyone has porches. It’s so fun to see how everyone decorates their home, especially for the Fourth of July!

This Fourth of July Wreath is Perfect for Farmhouse or Cottage Styles

Whether you have a porch or not, creating a wreath to celebrate the holidays is a great way to welcome people to your home and create a great first impression. If you love farmhouse or cottage decorating, this wreath will be a wonderful addition to your home.

Metal Farmhouse Wreath Form

Start with a metal wreath form. The wreath form is from Hobby Lobby. They actually have two sizes of this wreath form now. I have them both! I change up the wreath and keep the wreath form. I’ve made five different wreaths with this wreath form. A Christmas Joy Wreath, A Christmas Village Wreath, A Fall Gather Wreath and a Fourth of July Wreath. I also made a Summer Wreath with the smaller meal wreath form. I love that I can keep recycling the wreath form because it’s so cool.

Because the metal wreath form is so nice, you don’t have to wrap the wreath with fabric or material and that makes creating wreaths so fast!

Wood Stars

I thought it would be cute to create a star wreath to celebrate the Fourth of July. The main elements in the wreath are four stars.

First Star

The largest star is a hollow star that I also found at Hobby Lobby. I painted it white and traced the shape onto striped scrapbook paper which I attached inside the star.

The second star

I used is a MDF star that I also found at Hobby Lobby. I traced red and white scrapbook paper around the shape and glued it onto the front of the star.

The third star

is metal and wood and I found it in the seasonal department at Hobby Lobby.

Fourth Star

I covered the fourth star with striped scrapbook paper too,

Attach the Stars to the Metal Wreath Form

I covered a foam floral brick with plaid fabric and glued it into the bottom of the wreath. Then I glued the stars onto the foam brick and the back of the wreath form. I added some faux florals to fill in the edges.

Fabric Bow

After the inside of the wreath was decorated, I ripped 2-inch sections of red and white gingham fabric to make a bow. Once the bow was done, I hot glued it onto the front of the wreath form.

Star in the Front of the Wreath

I glued the fourth star on top of the fabric bow. Then I hung the wreath on my door using plaid ribbon.
