Three Fall and Halloween Snack Mixes to make! These snack mixes will be loved by kids and adults alike! The perfect snack.
Hey Tatertots and Jello readers! I’m Aimee from The Elephant of Surprise, where I blog about parties, holidays, and craft ideas for kids. Thanks for having me, Jen–I’m thrilled to be here!
Three Fall and Halloween Snack Mixes to Make!
Today I’m bringing you guys three tasty Halloween snack mixes that come together in a flash and add a festive, Halloween vibe to snack time. They’re also kind of fun to display and pretty to look at.
Caramel Apple Mix
First up is our Caramel Apple Mix. To get the flavor combine the following ingredients:
-Dried Apple Slices
-Peanuts
-Caramel bits (found in the baking section)
-White chocolate chips
-Cinnamon or Apple Cinnamon Chex Cereal
I didn’t include measurements of any of the ingredients so you can make as much or as little as you want, and make it to your liking. I like the proportions of the more savory ingredients (the peanuts and the cereal) to be about double that of the sweet ingredients.
Midnight Mix
Our second spooky snack is what I like to call the Midnight Mix. Black and white neutral ingredients make up this tasty snack.
-Chocolate covered pretzels
-Mini Marshmallows
-Almonds
-Raisins
-Coconut flakes
Again, add more or less of what you like. My favorites in this mixture are the almonds and coconut flakes. Seriously delicious!
Witches Brew MIx
And last but not least, serve up the Witches Brew Mix. This concoction is a simple one, but probably the favorite at our house. Three simple ingredients make it tasty, and the candy corn makes it definitively Halloween.
-Popcorn
-Candy corn
-Yogurt covered pretzels
Perfect for a Halloween Snack Bar
These would make a perfect Halloween Snack Bar at your next party, or mix up a batch and store in a large glass jar to munch on all week long. Serve up a scoop in a festive bag and tuck it into your child’s lunch for school. You could even let your child experiment with the ingredients and see what combination they come up with. Bonus points for whoever can come up with a festive Halloween name to go with it!
Thanks so much for welcoming me here today on TT&J. I sure hope you’ll stop by The Elephant of Surprise and say hello!

Thanks Aimee! I love those snack mixes and the best thing about them, is that you can create them however you want. I love the idea of the kids getting to help too! Aimee has such great ideas on her blog, The Elephant of Surprise. Here are a few projects of hers I think you’ll love:
I love this idea she had of the Phases of the Moon lesson for kids. Learning is much more fun when you involve oreos! She also has a Free printable chart the moon calendar that you can use along with it! So fun.
She also has this adorable DIY Bow Necklace that would be such a fun accessory for any season!
She also has these adorable Mod Painted Pots that I just love! It’s so fun to up cycle something ordinary to something super cute!

Love these snack mixes! Wonderful combination of flavors! =)

The pop corn and sweet are the best the combo of the two can’t be beat. I did a Jell-O salad with pretzels on the bottom and it was to die for because of the sweet and salty combo.

Adorable snack mixes? And I love how you can incorporated some healthy ingredients in them like raisins, and nuts to give em a nutritional boost. Too, cute. Love it!
