Summer Honey-Themed Outdoor Dining. Celebrate warm weather and summer with a honey-themed dinner, handmade beehives, honey dipper gift and bee-themed dessert board!
Summer Honey-Themed Outdoor Dining
I love summer! And one of my favorite things about summer is dining al fresco! We eat outside almost every night when it’s warm. There’s something magical about gathering on a warm summer night under the glow of cafe lights. I created a “honey” themed dinner while we had family in town. It was so fun!

If you are here from Open Doors Open Hearts, welcome! Isn’t Aliya’s outdoor table stunning?? Those hydrangeas are so gorgeous!!
Honey Themed Dinner
I had so much fun putting this “honey” themed dinner together! I created an easy sunflower centerpiece with homemade beehives, honey dipper place setting gifts and a sweet bee-themed dessert board with honey.
Easy Sunflower Centerpiece
This centerpiece was super simple to create. Just layer these items to create:
- Layer greenery on the bottom (I just cut stems from a bush in my front yard)
- Place homemade Beehives in the center (Homemade Beehive Tutorial)
- Use supermarket sunflowers. Cut the stems about 6 inches and tuck them under the greens.
- Sprinkle some fresh lemons throughout the centerpiece.
- Add votive candles
Honey Dipper Place Setting Gifts and Free Printable Tags
I love these wooden honey dippers. They’re such a fun little gift to put on each plate. I also created a little tag that says “Sweet Like Honey” and you can download it for FREE. Just click on the link below.

Then I just cut a sprig of baby’s breath and tied it onto each honey dipper with a yellow gingham ribbon! I also made a sign that you can use for a dessert table that matches. Just click on the link below to download the sign!
