Mom Explains Life After High School — My daughter and I had an amazing experience a couple of weeks ago to travel to Los Angeles to be a part of the Pair Up Campaign with @JCPenney. So many kids don’t have the basics for Back-to-School and we can help!
From August 1-15, for each pack of kids’ socks or underwear bought, JCPenney will donate a pack to the Y to help kids in need—up to 750,000 pairs.
I love partnering with companies that want to make a difference. Did you know that nearly half of kids under 18 are low income and 40% of low-income parents worry about their kids having enough socks and underwear? 55% of kids who did not have underwear and socks to wear wanted to skip school because they were embarasssed not to have underwear or socks. 46% of parents living in poverty say underwear is among the hardest to find at second-hand stores, garage sales and through friends and family.
Will you join with me to share this message? Let’s make a difference for these kids.
