DIY Valentine’s Day Heart Porch
DIY Valentine’s Day Heart Porch. A DIY Valentine’s porch with a striped heart wreath, felt banners, cozy pillows, and festive decor is so cute and easy to create.
Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for! The bright and happy red and pink colors POP during the cold and dreary winter months of January and February. I love creating new projects each year while also reusing past decorations. This year, I repurposed an old Valentine’s Day wreath and an old Christmas wreath to create a unique and festive Valentine’s Day heart wreath. Let me show you how I put together this fun and cheerful Valentine’s Day porch!
DIY Striped Wooden Valentine’s Day Wreath
For this year’s Valentine’s wreath, I decided to get a little crafty! I started with a round plywood circle and traced a large plate in the middle. Then, I drilled a hole in the center and used a scroll saw to carefully cut out a wreath shape. Once the base was ready, I painted bold and playful stripes on the wood for a whimsical touch.
To embellish the wreath, I added a sprig of greenery at the top, followed by adorable felt hearts. To finish it off, I tied a beautiful pink bow with long flowing tails. The final result is a fun and festive wreath that looks stunning on our PINK door! I love how the combination of textures and colors gives it a unique charm.
Repurposing Past Valentine’s Day Decor
Every year, I like to add to my Valentine’s Day decor while incorporating past DIY projects that I still love. This year, I brought back some of my favorite felt heart banners. I always grab a couple of packages of felt hearts each year, and this time I had enough to create banners in multiple places:
- Across our mantel
- Over our front door
- Spanning our entire front porch
The effect is so cute and festive, with heart garlands fluttering in the February breeze! If you want to make your own, check out my tutorial here: Scallop Felt Heart Garland.
Valentine’s Day Pillows for a Cozy Porch
I also brought out my burlap and 3D felt heart pillows that I made 10 years ago and still absolutely adore! These pillows add a warm and inviting touch to our porch seating. They are made with burlap and feature adorable felt heart appliqués, giving them a perfect balance of rustic and romantic vibes.
Adding Small Valentine’s Day Touches
To tie everything together, here are a few more ways to bring Valentine’s Day cheer to YOUR porch!
- Lanterns with twinkling fairy lights for a cozy nighttime glow
- Red and pink potted flowers to bring life and color
- A festive doormat with a fun Valentine’s message
- Heart-shaped wreaths on the windows to add an extra pop of charm
All these little details come together to create a welcoming and heartwarming space that celebrates love and joy!
