Christmas Party Pinwheel Tree
I love an easy appetizer. This one takes only minutes to create. Kids and adults will all love these adorable pinwheels with cool cream cheese and the tangy ranch taste.
Make Party Pinwheels Ahead of Time
You can make these party pinwheels ahead of time. Just pop them in the fridge and pull them out when the party starts.
You Can Make Party Pinwheels that are Gluten-Free
I used 10-inch gluten-free spinach tortillas to wrap up the party pinwheels. The spinach in the tortillas gives them a green color which is perfect to look like a Christmas tree. But you can also use regular spinach tortillas.
What’s Inside the Filling
The filling of party pinwheels is cream cheese mixed with a packet of ranch dressing mix. Then minced red peppers and green onions are included which give the filling a Christmasy color. You can substitute other veggies for the red pepper and green onions if you want.
Make Christmas Party Pinwheel Tree in 10 Minutes
This is a 10-minute appetizer. Just mix the filling, spread it on tortillas and slice them into pinwheels. Lay the pinwheels in a tree shape and add some fresh herbs to look like branches. So easy!

Christmas Party Pinwheel Tree
Christmas Party Pinwheel Tree Appetizer. Tis the season for easy appetizers! Whip up these cream cheese and veggie pinwheels, arrange on a platter and garnish with fresh herbs. Then pop them in the fridge until the party starts.
Ingredients
- 4 large (10-inch) spinach tortillas
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) plain cream cheese, softened
- 1 package ranch dressing mix (0.4 ounce)
- 1/2 cup red pepper, minced
- 1/2 cup green onions, minced
- 5-8 cherry tomatoes, fresh herbs and a piece of yellow pepper or cheese for the star.
Instructions
-
In a bowl, combine cream cheese and ranch mix. Stir until combined. Add red pepper and onions and combined.
-
Spread 1/4 of the mixture onto one tortilla. Roll the tortilla. Do this with all four tortillas.
-
Gently cut into 1/2 inch slices. You can also wrap the tortillas in plastic wrap and let them chill for an hour before cutting for rounded sections.
-
Arrange pinwheel slices in a tree shape. Two for the trunk. Then I did 5 for the bottom of the tree, then 4, then 3, then 2 and then 1. But you can make your tree as wide as you want. I did have a few slices left over.
-
Add fresh rosemary or other herbs in between the slices and cherry tomatoes to look like ornaments. Cut a star shape out of a piece of cheese or a yellow pepper.
-
Serve! Or cover the tree with plastic wrap and pop it into the fridge to serve later.
That’s it! No need to fuss over complicated or time-consuming appetizers. Your family and friends will love this delicious and festive recipe! And if you are looking for another quick party recipe to make, try our 15-minute Snowman White Cheese Ball!
