Grandma’s Classic Cheese Ball
We took grandma’s classic recipe, substituted the cheddar cheese for Mozzarella – to make the cheese ball look more like snow. Then we rolled the cheese ball in light and delicate Parmesan cheese, to look like freshly fallen snow.
Divide the Cheese Ball into Two Sections
We wanted to make our cheese ball look like a snowman. So we took the cheese ball and divided it into two sections. One section is slightly larger than the other – making the top one look like the snowman’s head.
Add a Snowman Face
To make the snowman’s face, we took some peppercorn kernals and put two in the middle of the head for the eyes. Then we added 6 more at the bottom of the head for the mouth. We experimented with the snowman’s nose. At first we tried a bit of red pepper. But then we decided to use the very end of a tiny carrot! At the top of the head we wound a little garland of fresh rosemary and added sliced olives for the snowman’s buttons.
Everything Bagel Cheese Ball
We have a super popular recipe on our site — Everything Bagel Cheese Ball. We adapted grandma’s basic cheese ball recipe and rolled it in Everything Bagel seasoning for a slightly nutty, crunchy topping. It’s so good! To create this winter white snowman cheese ball, we took that recipe and tweaked it a little. Be sure to check our the original recipe and you can make both because they compliment each other.
Chill the Snowman
If you are making this recipe for a party, be sure to let the snowman chill for a couple of hours. Just make the recipe and pop it into the fridge before serving.
