6 ways to decorate your front door for the fourth of july

The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for. There is just something about red white and blue that is magical! My home is white which works really well for decorating almost any season. I also LOVE the idea of a navy house.

Our favorite thing to do is walk around our neighborhood and see all of the brightly colored homes that are being built. I spotted this navy home the other day and I LOVE the way it looks. I think my next home might be navy!!

Make an Easy Door Hanging

This year I remade my Christmas wreath over for the fourth. I love that the galvanized base is so easy to change up. You literally can decorate it for ANY season or holiday. I have the easy tutorial for my Fourth of July Wreath here.

Create a memorable Fourth of July wreath. The galvanized wreath base holds a wooden star surrounded by three flags, a painted 4 and beautiful red and blue flowers and draping greenery.

Decorate Your Door

I repurposed a plaid thanksgiving banner by taking the letters off. The star lights are from Target. I also found red and white star jars at target and I put little mini flags in each. I put a piece of floral foam in the bottom of each so that the flags would stay upright.

Red White and Blue Pillow Covers

I brought out all of the red and white pillow covers and changed out the pillows on my porch too!

Add a Bright Doormat

I layered a couple of rugs in front of my door. The blue and white buffalo check rug is from Target and I put a red and white striped rug from Ikea underneath. I love the way they look together!

Hang a Flag

We also hung up our flag and I love seeing it wave in the breeze.

Add Flowers

We hung some pretty planters and added some blue and white flowers to the front of our galvanized planters.

It’s so fun to sit outside on our porch and see all of the festive decorations! I can’t wait for the fourth!!
