This project is brought to you from Waverly.tween bedroom reveal at tatertots and jello

We had such a fun time creating our Tween Hangout Room, andHannah decided she wanted a room that was similar.

The black and white decor and pops of color are so fun for a teen!! tween room reveal and details at tatertots and jello I was able to use the same beautiful Waverly fabric for this room as the hangout room.

I think the colors are so pretty! waverly fabric Here are some of the projects I created for this Tween room: tween room reveal details at tatertots and jello

I created an upholstered headboard from a piece of plywood. I cut out the corners with a jigsaw and wrapped it in batting and then stapled the Well Rounded Licorice material onto the plywood. tween bedroom reveal ideas at tatertots and jello I sewed a duvet cover–I love this material! And made some simple pillows. upholstered diy headboard for tween room at tatertots and jello I also upholstered a cushion on a chair for the room. tween desk area at tatertots and jello And I made some simple panel curtains from the same fabric as the headboard!

And added wallpaper to a desk for a little makeup station/workstation for the room! tatertots and jello tween desk area Hannah just loves her new room!! tween black and white bedroom at tatertots and jello tween bedroom reveal ideas at tatertots and jello Thanks, Waverly, for the beautiful fabrics for the room!! tween room reveal details at tatertots and jello hangout room

    Jen,
    I noticed your daughter has a large drum shade on her overhead light- can you tell me where you got it or how you made it? (I’ve been looking for a large one!) Love your cavalier- we have a precious boy too!!!

    So cute! I LOVE the paneled wall!! How did you make it?

    The room is great but my question – where’s all of her ‘stuff’? My daughter is 12 and has books, souvenirs, tropheys, and more. I didn’t see any place for her personal items outside of the wall with the pics. When we redid her room – to make it more teen feeling – we had to include a bookcase and shelves.

    • Jen says

      July 4, 2014 at 7:57 AM

      Hi Laura! The paint color is Benjamin Moore Decorator White. I just think it’s a great shade of white that’s not too warm or too cold.

    How cute! I bet she’s super excited with her new space. You probably can’t get her out of her room. {wink}

    We are currently in the midst of “facelifting” my nine-year-old’s bedroom. She’s entering the fourth grade in the fall, and will become a big sister in a few weeks, and has decided she’s no longer interested in characters or pink. We’ll be repainting, purchasing new curtains and bedding, and we’ve already had her bedframe and nightstand painted so they match. {They were thrifted pieces.}

      I think she will love it. And I think the black and white are pretty neutral so that we can bring in different colors and change things up over the years.
