I love that my kids are all creative like me. It’s fun seeing them experiment with different mediums and techniques. The creative process stimulates the brain and flows over to every other aspect of a person’s life.

Being Creative Eases Stress
Studies have shown that being creative eases stress. I totally believe that! There’s something about creating something beautiful that is so soothing. Anyone on your list will love experimenting with these different art supplies!
Fill Basket with Different Art Mediums
The person you may be making your basket for might have a certain medium they favor, but that doesn’t mean they might not love the supplies to try something new!
Art Supplies Can Be Used All Year
Art supplies are something that any one at any age can use! Pads of paper, pens, pencils, canvases, watercolors and brushes are just a few things that you can add to the basket you build. I’ve included all of the sources at the bottom with Amazon links that will come right to your house!
Add Art Surfaces to the Basket
Many types of art surfaces can be used with different art supplies. Some examples are sketch pads for pencils, watercolor paper, journals for writing, mixed media papers in black and white and stretched canvases.
Brushes for Watercolors, Acrylics or Pastels
Different types of brushes are made for different mediums. If you want to add one pack of brushes, I suggest a general use pack of brushes in different sizes that can be used with many different mediums.
Creative Pens
Different types of pens. In my basket I added larger dual brush pens which have a fine-tip end on one side and a brush pen on the other and I love that they are blendable. I also added smaller brush markers as well as illustrator markers that would be great for mixed media and also journaling.
Paints
Buy paints in packs so that your creative receiver can experiment with many different colors of whichever type of paint you add. I love the brush pen set that comes in a portable case so it can be easily transported and all of the mess is contained. This set includes the case, 12 colors of watercolors, a fine-tip water brush and a mixing pallet inside!
Card-making Supplies
Card making is a popular creative outlet. I included the happy paper from my new Hey! Hello! collection that is in JoAnn Stores in April! I also included the fun embellishments and the stamp set.
Other Supplies
Customize the creative Easter basket to YOUR person. Think outside the box. Add modeling clay or putty, tracing paper, graph paper, charcoal pencils and stamps too!
