To make this {or any tassel garland} you need 1 sheet of tissue paper in 4 different colors and some twine to string them on.
Start by folding the sheet into eighths
and then cut a couple strands 2/3 of the way from the non-folded edge. Make sure the folded edge is on top before cutting. Did I mention you should keep the folded edge on top? {I may have made that mistake and ruined a whole sheet of tissue paper. drat.}
Unfold the sheet, keeping it folded in half. Cut along the fold marks, there should be 8 separate sections.
Unfold each section
Continue twisting
and twist the middle into a loop
Repeat with all 8 of one color and then repeat with each color.
Measure the space you want to hang and string the tassels on the garland and hang.
Now you have the basic hang of it, you can create this look for any holiday!
Maybe black and orange and white for Halloween? Or, red and green and gold for Christmas? See what I mean? The possibilities are endless! For the rest of the decor, you can switch out the printable with your own or a free one. These “Let Freedom Ring” printables I created are available for download on Sugar Bee Crafts tomorrow.
Simple wood stars or blocks are easy to make and switch out in different shapes and colors.
The paint stick flag is put together with glue and painted red, white, & blue. Think how easy it would be to paint some pumpkins or spiders for Halloween, or gold stars for Christmas?
Easy entry way decor that doesn’t break the bank AND you can do it quickly. So totally doable, right?
