Make an Autumn Framed Embroidery Hoop Gather Wall Hanging. Create a beautiful Fall Wall Hanging with a frame, an embroidery hoop, vinyl letters and paper flowers. Hang it on your front door or a wall to welcome Autumn to your home!
Autumn is the perfect time to make something special
I love this time of the year! Autumn really inspires me to make my home welcoming and comfortable as I anticipate cooler weather and cozy family time.
Warm woods and pretty florals
I stained the outside of a plain wood frame and painted the inside white. It frames an embroidery hoop wreath.
Embroidery hoop wreath
Pretty floral paper flowers and greenery make a beautiful wreath.
Gather
I love surrounding myself with those I love, especially in the fall. I cut the word GATHER out of vinyl and placed it in the center of the wreath.
Here’s how to make an Autumn Framed Embroidery Hoop GATHER wall hanging:
Supplies:
Frame (mine was unfinished with a plank background) The frame I used is from The Wood Connection.
Embroidery hoop
Hot glue and glue gun
Paper ( I used paper from My Bright Life line at Pebbles in My Pocket)
Floral wire
Pom poms
Stain (for the outside of the frame) and paint (to paint the back of the frame)
Vinyl word
Directions:
Stain the outside of the frame
Dip paper towels or a rag in stain and wipe it on the outside of the frame
Paint the inside of the frame
I used white paint but you can use any color
Hot glue the embroidery hoop
I hot glued the hoop at the top and bottom
Add floral stems
I hot glued the stems to the bottom of the embroidery hoop
Make pom pom wires
Bend floral wire and hot glue pom poms to the ends. You can cut out paper leaves and hot glue those on the stems too. Then hot glue the stems onto the sides of the embroidery hoop
Assemble the paper flowers
Hot glue the different layers of paper flowers together and add pom poms to the middle. Then hot glue the paper flowers to the wreath.
Add vinyl word
Add vinyl word to the center of the wreath. You can also trace the word on the frame with a pencil and paint the word instead of using vinyl lettering.
Enjoy your new wall hanging!
This wall hanging would be so cute on a wall, on a shelf or a mantel!
I plan on hanging mine on my front door
I will spray it with clean polyurethane spray. And my porch is covered so it won’t be totally exposed to the elements. I will share the wall hanging on my door soon!!
Here are a couple other fun projects I’ve made with My Bright Life papers:
