Gingerbread Men Table Top Holiday Tree
Have you started decorating for the holidays? Holiday decorating is in full swing around here! I decided to create a little hot cocoa station inside our dish cabinet. I used all of my Santa mugs, plates and festive dishes. A little gingerbread tree seemed like the perfect addition!

Gingerbread Tabletop Tree
The main elements in making a gingerbread tabletop tree are:
- Gingerbread ornaments
- Garland – -I used two. One small felted ball garland and one red and white stocking garland.
- Basket — I used a basket and a red and white dishtowel to wrap around the tree base.
How to Make Gingerbread Ornaments
There are a few different ways you can create gingerbread ornaments. For my tree I used read gingerbread cookies.
Gingerbread Cookie Ornament Hack
Of course you can bake your own gingerbread cookie ornaments. I found pre-made gingerbread ornaments at World Market! My package had gingerbread women, men and trees! I used paint instead of frosting. I coated the decorated ornaments with clear resin paint to preserve them.
How to Paint Gingerbread Ornaments
I used a cake decorating container and tips to paint the ornaments. Instead of using a paint brush I think it’s easier to paint a smooth line with a cake decorating container. I used the smallest tip I could find and it was so easy to do !
