I absolutely love gallery walls! There’s something so fun about creating a wall around the special people in your life. I have found that sometimes it’s tricky to get the spacing of frames all figured out and straight. So when I heard about Shutterfly’s Design-A-Wall, I was blown away with how easy it is to create a perfect wall. There are more than 45 different configurations – perfect for any wall. I just had to try it!

It’s super easy to choose a picture grouping based on your wall size, order your prints (in a bunch of different finishes and styles), and hang them! Here’s what I did — and I’ll share the free “You Are My Favorite Hello” printable with you, too!

Here’s how easy it is to create a perfect wall – in only three easy steps:

1. You choose the configuration you want and the wall art material. I chose metal prints.

2. Then you select the photos you want in your arrangement. Shutterfly creates your kit and sends it to you.

3. Once it arrives, everything is included that you need — including a template and a level. You hang up the template and the template shows you where to place your nails, which correspond to the hangers on the back of your art. I hung mine with command strips. All I had to do was mark the spots where the command strips would go with a pencil and attach the command strips to the wall. It was so easy!

Then just remove the paper template and hang them on the wall! (I laid them out on the floor to make sure I had everything where I wanted it first.)

    I love your gallery wall. I would have never thought to do one in 12×12’s. And I just fell in love with the printable “your my favorite hello”. It made me think of each of my family members.     I love this idea! I honestly don’t know yet what one I would chose. I have 3 different walls or a nursery with lots of blank walls to work with. I would need to look through my picture collection!

    I think I would use the symmetrical eight on a partial wall at the end of a longish hall. We already have a rogue’s gallery of family pics on the side walls. I would put a grouping of formal family photos there.

    You know, I used to do a lot of scrapbooking, so I think I would make up nine 12×12 designs and maybe have them printed up on metal of our family through the years, including our granddaughter, of course. I think that would be really cool, but then my son probably wouldn’t want to come over because he doesn’t like seeing pictures of himself, past of present. I don’t know why.     I don’t have a website or blog. However I do follow the crafts on this website, so simple and I can make them work in my apartment! I looked at shutter fly carefully and I would choose the 50×36 arrangement of photos for my master bedroom. I have this big blank wall that I’ve been gathering ideas to do a wall collage on for a few weeks.

    What a neat tool! When I’m designing a gallery wall, I like to play around with different sized prints so I find myself drawn to the MONTAGE- 44.5 x 33 ARRANGEMENT. What a great giveaway!

    Montage for me. I like things that are a little ‘funky’.

    And I love the idea of using the metal prints. I recently got some small ones. But had not thought about using command hooks to hang them up.
    We live in a rental and while I LOVE gallery walls I’ve been cringing at turning the one wall upstairs into one simply because of all the nails I would need. The metal prints with command hooks solves that issue!

I love the metal with the photographer’s style that we’re going with. I would choose the 70 x 24 arrangement.     I would have to choose a large layout with multiple photos in each because I have all of these old photos of my ancestors that I want to put on canvas and put on one of my walls.     I love 3 squared because of the clean lines! It would go on an awkward wall that is part entryway and part living room. I have been struggling to think of a way to fill that large space without blocking the walkway with a piece of furniture.

    A tip for others, the link wouldn’t work on my mobile I had to go to full site and it wasn’t working well from my mobile. Best to do this from a computer!

    I would definitely go with the one featured in the blog. I love arrangements that feature multiple photos at once but don’t really have the patience or skill to make it look nice. The diagram is perfect!

    I love this idea!! I’ve been wanting to do something unique with our family Beach photos from our recent trip to the Dominican. I would pic either the 50×36 or the 44.5 x 33 and repeat it so I could get at least 10 photos hung on the wall….

    I love the 42 x 36 arrangements where there are 3 pictures each measuring 12×36. Very cool, would probably add an extra 12×36 and do 4 pictures. (4 kids 🙂 )

    I’d love the diagonal arrangements. It would probably drive my hubby nuts, but I don’t like having every thing arranged in straight lines and squared off. With a variety of materials. Don’t like everything all matchy matchy.

    But to pick just one I’d have to say the 38×20 arrangement with a 16×20 flanked by two 8×10’s.

    So loving that it comes with a template for helping to hang it just right. That’s probably the thing that keeps people from doing a gallery the most – just hanging it all perfectly can be intimidating.

    Love the 3 panoramic set over there – so many to choose from.
