Candy Corn Colored Quesadillas
- Three different kinds of cheese. I tried to find the orangest, the yellowest and the whitest mixtures of cheese.
- Torillas – 2 per quesadilla
- 1 cup of cheese for the inside of the cheese quesadilla
- 1 cup total of each of the three cheeses for the top of the quesadilla
- Take the two torillas and add 1 cup of cheese, in between, like a sandwich.
- Spray a big non-stick pan with cooking spray.
- Put the cooktop burner on LOW until it gets heated up.
- Add the double layered cheese quesadilla and then add the top layers of cheese to the top.
- The white layer goes in the middle of the tortilla, with a ring of orange cheese and then a ring or yellow cheese at the outside.
- Now the tricky part of this recipe is that you want the whole quesadilla to be evenly cooked. So once you have the cheese layers on your quesadila, put a lid on the pan to distribute the heat evenly. The low setting is the key to this step.
- Check the torilla as it cooks and remove it from the pan as soon as the top layers of cheese have melted. This took about 10 minutes.
- It is so good because the bottom of the quesadilla will be a little crunchy and the middle and top will be warm and the cheese will be all melty.
I love Candy Corn! The colors seem so FALL. So here is a super easy idea for lunch, party food for an event or even a side-dish for dinner. We love making it as a side dish to go along with our Pumpkin Chili!!
