I adore my daughter’s 1st grade teacher because she works so hard to give the individualized instruction that all kids need. She cares when kids are above grade level and challenges them and doesn’t hold them back to the rest of the class. She has an obvious love for teaching and for her students and it’s been such a pleasure watching my daughter bloom this year under her care.

Judy is over 60+ years young and still gives her heart, time, effort and love to special needs students at an elementary school where she teaches. This lady is so energetic and craftily as well. Kids have learned to rubber-stamp bookmarks, cards and gift tags. She also planted a Butterfly Garden at this school along with her students. Although a few years ago Judy lost the love of her life (her husband) to lung cancer, but she has never lost her love for children, teaching and crafts. If it is a craft, Judy want to be in the middle of it! Her students love her and so do her friends! She would LOVE one of these Cuttlebug Machines and she would probably be one of the first people to wear one out! (if that is even possible!)

Wow… what an awesome giveaway… I would love to win one for Ms. Bunger… she is my son’s special education teacher (he has autism) but she goes above and beyond because my daughter is not in her class (she also has autism) and she watches out for her too… so in my book she is just awesome… she makes my kids feel safe, and she looks out for them… and to me that is what makes her awesome… so even if I don’t win it for Ms. Bunger, I am still a winner because she is more than just a teacher…

She’s had a trying year; new age group (!!), new lesson plans, and battling her husband’s cancer diagnosis. He’s doing well but still in treatment. While helping him, she’s always at school with a smile on her face, teaching her passion, and yes-scrapbooking the year away. She also created embroidered school mascot “sweat towels” for my son when he she found out he was playing football. She’s more than a teeacher, she’s motherly. What a gift to have her in our lives again!

Shawn B! says
My favorite teacher doesn’t have one of my children this year. We have been fortunate to have her with boy #1 4 years ago, and boy #2 last year. Hoping girl #1 gets her next year. My family recently experienced a family crisis the week before P/T conferences. This teacher made a point of finding out when I would be at conferences to be able to come, give me a hug, and tell me that her family would pray for use through the duration of our ordeal! We LOVE her! She didn’t have to do anything, we don’t even have her this year! But what a fabulous gesture, coming from someone whom I trust the lives of my children with. It makes me appreciate all the care she puts into their learning even more. Knowing that she’s also looking out for their hearts. Thanks for the giveaway!
Jen says
That is amazing Shawn! What a wonderful person!

My step-daughter starting living with us last summer and switched schools this year. We’ve been so fortunate for her teacher who has taken the time to help her during this transition. She has been very willing to work with us and work with her on things beyond schoolwork. She has helped her develop socially, which was a big concern of for us and we are so thankful.
jami says
my 2nd grader’s teacher is great. she seems to “get” the kids – especially the boys (which our student is). she knows they need to be silly and have fun, but she expects a lot of them. she has high expectations for their learning, but also for them as individuals. she expects them to be good people, good citizens, good members of a class. she reinforces those same expectations we have at home and uses positive ways to accomplish this. to me, a teacher isn’t just someone who teaches the lessons or the information in the curriculum. it’s someone like her. who loves her students and knows what kind of people they can become, and strives to help them get there.
Denise says
Our teacher is a special ed teacher – she works with children who have a learning disability and she has the patience of a saint. Since we have been at that school – she has moved every grade with us and that keeps us all secure. We will be leaving the school and going to another part of the state. I wish I could take her with us. But her Sister lives where we are moving and we will be getting together when she comes down or when we visit family here.
