New Year Room Refresh: Modern Farmhouse Living Room

It’s always a little bittersweet to take all of the Christmas/Holiday decor down. But it’s also refreshing and it feels like a clean slate. This month BHG Live Better asked us to create a Room Refresh for the New Year. I knew I wanted to do my living room. It’s the first room you walk into when you come in the door. I thought it would be nice to give our entry room a fresh look!

I love industrial style. But I think my style is more white colors than dark woods and metals. I bought the BHG Live Better Rustic Country Coffee Table, available at Walmart. I love the wheels and overall look of the piece. I thought it would be fun to work a little magic on it with paint. All it took was a couple of cans of white and silver spray paint.

So easy. Now I have a lighter, brighter version of this cool table that reflects my style.

I also love succulents because it seems harder to kill them LOL. I found this amazing BHG Live Better Acacia Marble Cake Stand also at Walmart.

It’s so pretty! And perfect for displaying a pretty succulent. An easy coffee table centerpiece.

Another thing I did was I brought in a new blanket  on my HOT PINK chair. I love curling up on it and chatting on the phone or reading a book.

And the herringbone cotton blanket is perfect to wrap around me on a winters evening.

I love how clean and simple the room looks. Perfect for a NEW year! My puppy just had to get in on the fun. She’s so funny!
