Mini Pie Box Thanksgiving Place Cards

Hi, I’m Amy, the blogger behind The Happy Scraps where I share paper crafting ideas, home decor, sewing projects and an occasional recipes. I’m so excited to be here today sharing this fun project on Jen’s blog.

Headshot

Today I’m going to show you how to make this cute little Mini Pie Box Thanksgiving Place Cards. They would be perfect to fill up with some nuts to snack on before the big Thanksgiving meal is ready.

Mini Pie Box Thanksgiving Place Cards. They would be perfect to fill up with some nuts to snack on before the big Thanksgiving meal is ready.

To make these Mini Pie Boxes you’ll need:

  • Kraft Cardstock
  • Burnt Orange Cardstock
  • Adhesive
  • Adhesive Backed Foil Names
  • Brown Ink
  • Tissue Paper
  • 1 3/4″ Circle Punch
  • Baker’s Twine
  • Electronic Die Cutting Machine

supplies

Cut out your box and lid and fold them on the score lines. Use your adhesive to put them together.

Ink the edges of the box and the lid and then place the lid on the box.

Peel the backing off of your foil lettering. (I cut these out using my electronic die cutting machine.)

Place the foil, adhesive side down onto the lid of your box.

Now you’re ready to make your Tissie Paper Whipping Cream. Find the instructions for that HERE.

Once you have your “Whipping Cream” made, attach it to the top. Now your cute little boxes are ready to be filled up with a fun little treat to snack on before dinner. You can set one at each place setting.

Or you can leave them all together and display them and send them home with the guests after dinner.

I think I’ll be using mine as decor until Thanksgiving day. Aren’t they so cute?!

Thank you to Jen for having me as a guest on the blog today!

These are so adorable! What a fun place setting idea. I love the idea of allowing a full celebration of Thanksgiving – and all the special touches – rather than jumping right into Christmas. When not in use, it’s a darling decoration:)
