Create Fabric Scrap Patriotic Flags

This year I created some adorable handmade patriotic flags to decorate with. I put them in pots throughout my home and I am excited to use them when I decorate our porch. I thought it would be fun to tie the fabric flag theme in with an easy patriotic wreath.

10-Minute Patriotic Flag Wreath

This wreath is so easy to make and you can create it in less than 10 minutes. The thing I love about this wreath is that you can use a wreath you already have and add the patriotic elements without glue or anything that is permanent so that you can use the wreath again either alone or for another occasion.

Where Can You Use a Patriotic Flag Wreath?

There are so many different way to display wreaths. I have this one on the on the fence in our new pergola patio. But you can also use a wreath like this as a centerpiece above a mantel too! And the pictures above are with the wreath above my hood in our kitchen. So this wreath looks good in all kinds of different settings!

How to Make an Easy Summer Fabric Flag Wreath

Here’s how you make this easy patriotic wreath.

Summer Fabric Flag Wreath Supplies

• Greenery wreath – I used a wreath I already had, but here is another similar wreath.
• White floral picks – like these.
• Blue berry picks – like these.
• Fabric – like these.
• Fabric Flags – you can find the instructions on how to create these on my Fabric Flag tutorial.

Summer Fabric Flag Wreath Directions

• Take your green wreath, add in whatever red white or blue picks you want on each side of the wreath.
• Make Patriotic Fabric Flags. Add two flags on each side of the wreath.
• Make fabric strips. Cut a notch into each of the fabric and tear it into strips. I used 18 inch fabric strips.
• Wrap the fabric strips around the middle of the wreath and tie.
• Hang up your wreath and enjoy it!
