NYE DIY Garland

I love decorating my mantel for New Years Eve. This year we have a new home and a new (old) mantel to decorate! I just finished redoing this fireplace and I love it!! For New Years I added some easy gold and white paper medallions and a new GOLD paper garland.

Free Printable CHEERS Garland Template

I created a free CHEERS garland template and I am sharing it in case YOU want to make one too!

No Need to Use a Craft Cutting Machine

I also love that ANYONE can make this garland. You don’t need a craft cutting machine!! Just grab some pretty paper – I bought shiny gold foil paper. Then all you need is a pair of scissors, a hold punch and some twine – and VOILA you have a cute banner for NYE!!

2020 Paper Garland

I added the year 2020 and I am so excited about a new decade. I think it’s worth celebrating!! You can cut out the word CHEERS or 2020 or both like I did. Then just punch holes in the top of each letter and string your garland on thin ribbon or twine and hang it up!

CHEERS Garland Template

Here’s the free CHEERS 2020 garland template. Notice that the words and numbers are mirrored. This is because you print them off on the BACK of your card-stock paper. Then you cut around the edges with your scissors and flip it over to the right side of the paper and your word and numbers will be right side up!

Where Can I Hang a NYE Garland?

You can hang this CHEERS 2020 garland on your mantel, a shelf, over a doorway or wherever you want to spread some New Year’s cheer!
