Spring DIY Ideas
My friends and I are sharing easy spring DIY’s today! So many beautiful ways to bring the feeling of spring to YOUR home!
Turn Plain Frames into Trays
I found pre-built frames with deep sides which made them perfect to turn into trays. I added simple ball feet to the bottom of the frames by hot gluing them onto the corners of each frame.
Personalize Spring Stacking Trays with Paint
The next thing I did was spray paint the trays. I used a white chalkboard paint which has a matte smooth finish. You can use ANY color you want. If you love bold color, pick something that goes with your personality!
Add Scrapbook Paper for a Pretty Bottom
I used paper from my new Pebbles paper line — Reaching Out for the bottom of my trays.
My paper is available in March at JoAnn Stores. I am so excited!!
Decoupage Paper onto the Bottom of the Spring Trays
I painted the bottom of the trays with Mod Podge and then cut the paper to the size of each tray bottom. Then I laid each sheet of paper on top of the mod podge and smoothed out the air bubbles with a smoothing tool. At this point you can leave the paper, OR put another layer of mod podge on top of the paper to protect it from moisture or wear. I used a matte mod podge because I didn’t want the paper to have a shiny surface.
Layer the Spring Trays
Once the mod podge was dry I put the smaller tray on top of the larger one. You can do this or put them side by side on a table if you want a larger centerpiece.
Add Spring Items to Spring Stacked Trays
Fresh Flowers
I love fresh flowers. I added ranunculus in a white pot as the focal point of the stacked trays.
Candles
Candles bring a coziness and warmth to a centerpiece. Add as many as you want. Especially if you are using the centerpiece in the dining room.
Eggs
If you want to celebrate spring and easter, eggs are a great choice to add color and texture to the stacked tray centerpiece. I used painted eggs as well as moss eggs to bring a spring vibe to the centerpiece.
Add a Figurine
A marble bunny also brings spring to the centerpiece. Other ideas would be chicks, a saying or another object like a small house or lemon.

No matter which area of your home you use this centerpiece in, you and your guests will enjoy this spring DIY centerpiece.
