I love seasonal decor, but I also love creating decor that can stay up all year ’round! I’m at CHA right now (It’s the Craft and Hobby Association trade show) with Pebbles in my Pocket premiering my new Home + Made “Cottage Living” line of papers and embellishments for home decor!
This fun idea spells out “hello” – something perfect for a door, entry, hallway, or even mantel. Like yesterday’s project, this is an easy project combining my brand new “Cottage Living” paper & embellishments collection (part of my Home + Made line) with special wood pieces specifically designed by The Wood Connection to match the paper.
Here’s how easy it is to make – and you can adapt for you!
Thanks to my amazing neighbor Amy Dott, we used custom pieces of wood from the Wood Connection sized to make a perfect background for the customizable banner letters in the new paper line.
We used spray adhesive (this time) to adhere one of the Home + Made Cottage Living papers to the background pieces.
Then we trimmed carefully with a very sharp craft knife to fit the paper to the wood.
We used foam, double-sided adhesive squares to attach the banner letters to the background and then used ribbon to tie the letters together.
I love how it’s a banner I can use year-round … and I could adapt it to work for anything, even my word of the year!
You can find out more about the new Cottage Living Home+Made collection here, and soon (next week!) it should be in stores and available online.
The new papers, embellishments and more (a polkadot clipboard, even!) are shipping now to craft stores … and the wood should be available soon at The Wood Connection.
I’m having a great time this week premiering the line!
So much fun this week at the #chashow with @americancrafts. Love these amazing ladies – @amytangerine @beckyhigginsllc @stacyswapp @dearlizzy #CHA2015 #happy ❤️ A photo posted by Tatertots & Jello (@tatertotsandjello) on

That would be a cool item for our Military people that are deployed to come home to. I am going to post that on facebook.
