Hello!
I am so thrilled to be here at TT&J today  sharing my cute paper roll-up Valentine wreath with you!

My name is Aniko and I am a blogger at Place Of My Taste.
It’s only mid January, but you know how time flies, right?
I just put away all my Christmas decorations and I started working on Valentine  projects.
With every holiday the first project I usually make is a wreath.

This pretty, lovely Valentine wreath was born in a rainy, cold Saturday afternoon while sipping a cup of coffee, watching my kids crafting next to me…Oh, I Love that!
So this is what you will need to make this lovely looking wreath:
-scrapbook paper { pink, red combination }

-hot glue gun or glue { started with glue but was faster and better with the gun:-)}

-cardboard

-scissors

-ribbon to hang the wreath

First, I draw a big heart shape on my card board… no fancy stuff here…
The shape wasn’t perfect, but that totally wouldn’t matter,since no one will see the wreath base.
 I cut the the shape out with my scissors.

Next I  cut thin stripes of my pretty pink and red scrapbook papers.

To help roll up the paper stripes, I used a pencil. It was much easier to roll the stripes with it.

Once I rolled up lots of scrapbook stripes, I cut them to small pieces.
I made lots of them.
It really didn’t take long, it was quite fast and a fun project.

I heated up my hot glue gun and started gluing my scrapbook roll ups on my heart-shaped board.

As you see, the  roll ups are not perfect, don’t have the same length, but I think it is actually makes the wreath look more unique.
♥

To hang the wreath, I used a piece of ribbon. It was glued to the back of the card board.

The red heart in the middle is an ornament that I used for embellishment.

Gorgeous! Isn’t it?

Looks absolutely lovely with my green door!

If I haven’t made you in the mood to decorate for Valentine’s Day, here is some more inspiration!

I made some adorable gifts for Valentine’s Day last year, check them out below.

    Did you glue the strips of paper that you wound around the pencil for the Valentine wreath so they stayed rolled up?

      Victoria, I DID glue the paper too, so it would stay rolled up…sorry for not mentioning that in my tutorial!:-(
