Patriotic Flag Fourth of July Porch Decorating
I love decorating our front porch for holidays. Two of my favorite are Christmas and the Fourth of July! I love our white house with pops of red for the holidays! This year I wanted to make a giant flag sign and I thought flags would be a good theme for a patriotic porch!

6 Easy DIY Projects to Create a Patriotic Flag Fourth of July Porch
There are so many inexpensive easy ways to decorate for the Fourth of July! I am sharing 6 easy ways that I created a Patriotic Flag Fourth of July Porch for our home!
Create a Giant Flag Sign
If you have been reading my blog for the past 11 years you would see how much I LOVE creating giant signs. I make them for almost every holiday. They are inexpensive to make because I use inexpensive pine shelving from the hardware store. A tip — the hardware store will usually cut your board to whatever height you want for FREE! I am writing up the tutorial and it will be on the blog next week if you want to make one for your home !
Make a Star Galvanized Farmhouse Star Wreath
Another project I love to make are wreaths with this galvanized wreath form. I think this is the 5th wreath I’ve made using this form. You can grab it at Hobby Lobby. I am also writing up the tutorial for this wreath. It seriously is SO easy to make!
Customize a Pre-Made Gingham Banner
I found this blue and white gingham banner in Target’s Dollar Spot. It’s cute all by itself but I wanted to add some red and white to it. I took some red and white gingham fabric and ripped it into 2-inch wide strips. Then all I did was tie the pieces in between the blue and white pennants. I love the way the fabric strips look with the pennants.
Patriotic Flags
There are so many sizes of inexpensive flags you can buy. Check your dollar store. I added flags to the pots around my front door. I have striped pots and star pots that I also found in Target’s Dollar Spot. Such an easy way to add some patriotic flair to your front door or porch. And at the end of the month I just put them all in a bag and use them again next year!
Flag Banners
I found this really long flag banner on Amazon. I just added it to the eave of my front porch and I love the way it waves in the breeze!
Patriotic Pillows
Pillows are an easy way to decorate your front porch. I have a popular tutorial on how to Make Pillow Covers in 10 Minutes – if you want to make some for YOUR home!

Good day, I adore your blog. I made a lot of interesting things with your ideas. That’s cool. Really very patriotic. July 4th is my favorite holiday. I’m already waiting for America to be painted in the colors of the national flag – white, red and blue. At the same time, I really want to sing patriotic songs and, of course, the national anthem with tears and not without anguish. Did you know that, a quote from Wikipedia: “Independence Day is a national holiday marked by patriotic displays. Similar to other summer-themed events, Independence Day celebrations often take place outdoors. According to 5 U.S.C. § 6103, Independence Day is a federal holiday, so all non-essential federal institutions (such as the postal service and federal courts) are closed on that day. Many politicians make it a point on this day to appear at a public event to praise the nation’s heritage, laws, history, society, and people”, source -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_(United_States).
