We love family trips! Get your kids excited about travel plans by having them make their own luggage tags!
The lovely people at BasicGrey (one of my favorite scrapbook companies) sent me some awesome materials from their new Hipster line and asked me to create a project.
I thought luggage tags would be a fun activity to make with my kids and get them excited about our trip. These would also be awesome as labels for beach bags this Summer or on backpacks for Fall!
The girls and I had a great time making them. And I am sharing a free printable to put all of your information on in the back of your tags.
To make the tags, I cut some of the various Hipster scrapbook paper into 4.25″ x 3″ squares. And I got all of the different embellishments out and let the kids go crazy. It was so fun!!
When we were finished, we ran the tags through my laminator to protect them during our trip.
(if you don’t have a laminating machine, you can take them down to a copy store like Kinkos and have them laminated there. And also, if you want to buy a laminating machine, check prices at different stores. I found one at an office supply store for $100 and then I went to Walmart and found this one for $25)
When I cut the tags out, I left a little of the laminating sheet at the top and then punched through it with a paper punch. Then I used some leather lacing and strung it through the hole. It comes in all kinds of fun colors and it will hold the tags onto the suitcase.
And now – I get to give away a big box of BasicGrey Hipster goodies to one of you!
Here’s how to win:
(these might not be the exact items in the prize box, they will be from the Hipster line and it will be an amazing selection of crafting goodies)
