Joy Worth Giving – Affordable Family Gift Ideas! I love this time of year. It’s the season of receiving but more importantly, it’s the season of GIVING. Each year we try to find a family or organization to give to. Last year we spent the day helping at a refugee giving event and it was so amazing to do with with my children and see them giving. So this year when I found out about JCPenney’s #JoyWorthGiving campaign I thought it would be wonderful to pair up with a company to give back to our community!
As we have moved to our new home in a NEW city this year, I have found out through our church that there are refugee families living nearby that are struggling. I talked with my girls about these families and they wanted to help! We teamed up with JCPenney to find some special things for these families and spread the JOY! It’s been a rewarding experience finding practical and fun gifts that our special family would LOVE .
I love that JCPenney is a one-stop shopping destination for affordable, on-trend gifts. You can find anything on your list. They carry private and national brands and now they have a Lowest Price Guarantee. If you find a lower current advertised price on an identical item available at JCPenney, you can bring that ad to a JCPenney store within 14 days and they will beat that price by 5% which is AWESOME.
I was in JCPenney last week buying some slippers for my kids and when I was checking out the cashier asked me if I had a coupon. When I said no, she told me about a 20% off coupon and let me use it. I was really impressed with the friendliness of the staff there and I saved $6. Thank you JCPenney!!

We had the opportunity to do our first EVER Facebook live inside the JCPenney right down the street from our house this week. It was nerve-racking but so fun! The girls did it with me and they did such a great job!! We got to the store early and I had the girls go through the whole store to find items they LOVED. After an hour we met up to see what we had all picked. It was so fun to see the amazing things they found for their gift guides.
There was one very plush, soft and cozy blanket that both girls chose. And the funny things was that it was the same exact blanket AND the same color too. We bought it for our refugee family. I am sure they will love it. It will keep everyone so warm this winter!
My favorite thing about JCPenney is that is a one-stop destination. There are so many different departments and items in the store. You can find something for anyone on your list. Their high-quality items are right on trend and they carry SO many of our FAVORITE brands. My girls love Converse shoes and you can get those – and then on the next aisle you can find baking dishes! It makes gift buying so fast and easy.

I’ve been a valued JCP shopper for 30 years. Style, sizes (and tall for me),home goods, appliances, everything– as well as pricing has always been a plus, and one stop shopping.. while my kids peers prefer name brands and more expensive clothes, my kids/family always look good in JCP 🙂 Thanks for sharing. JCP has always been my first go to store and I love it!
