Healthier BLT Ranch Chicken Salad
This is a salad with all of the TASTE of ranch plus BLT without the guilt. It is going to become your favorite salad. It’s perfect to make for dinner. But it’s also great to bring to a summer BBQ or party!
Secret Ingredient in Ranch BLT Chicken Salad
The secret ingredient in this salad is a package of powdered ranch dressing mix. I added the mix to the mayonnaise and sour cream and it brings the tangy zestiness of RANCH to this salad. SO easy!
Serve Chicken Salad Different Ways
And there are so many ways to serve this salad. Put it on a bun with fresh lettuce and you have the perfect sandwich!
Chicken Salad Can be a Side Dish or Main Meal
Serve it at a summer party or BBQ as a salad. For a hearty dinner, serve it on a bed of lettuce. The ranch in the sauce makes it so that you don’t need a dressing for this salad.
Chicken Salad is also very low in weight watcher points. This one is 4 WW points without the bun.
Healthier BLT Ranch Chicken Salad Recipe
Healthier BLT Ranch Chicken Salad Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/4 cup diced green onions
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 T. ight mayo
- 1/2 cup light sour cream
- 1 packet 1.5 ounce packet Ranch Dressing Mix
- Lettuce for sandwiches or under salad
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 t. lemon juice
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a small bowl, stir the ranch dressing powder into sour cream.

In a medium bowl, combine shredded chicken with mayonnaise, sour cream and ranch mixture and lemon juice. Mix together.

Mix in celery and green onions.

Stir in cherry tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.

Sprinkle bacon on top.

Serve on top of lettuce leaves on rolls or as a salad.
BLT Chicken Salad is a Great Leftover
I make this recipe at the beginning of the week and eat it for lunch each day. It keeps really well in the fridge.

You mention using ranch dressing mix but it’s not in the recipe. Do you add the whole envelope with the mayo, etc ?

Please update your recipe to reflect the addition of the Ranch dressing mix.
