We had such a fun time a Disneyland a couple of weeks ago! If you follow me on Instragram you will know that I came home and spent about a week trying to recreate Disneyland’s Marshmallow Caramel Chocolate Pops – they were THAT good!
Here’s what we came up with, PLUS — free Spring Printable gift tags that you can use for anyone in your life. They would be so cute for neighbors, friends and teachers this Spring!!
How to make the Disneyland-Inspired Homemade
Marshmallow Caramel Chocolate Pops:
We had SUCH a fun time making homemade marshmallows. And guess what?? They aren’t hard to make!!
I used Alton Brown’s Homemade Marshmallow Recipe. It’s awesome and much easier than you would expect!
- Then we let the marshmallows rest overnight to set up.
- The next day I cut them into rectangles with a pizza cutter and inserted a stick.
- Then I dipped them in caramel. To make the caramel I took a package of wrapped caramels and mixed in 1/4 cup milk to soften the caramel like the ones at Disneyland. Then I dipped each marshmallow in the caramel mixture and layed it on wax paper. To hep the pops set up even faster you can lay the wax paper on a cookie sheet and pop them inthe fridge.
- Once the caramel hardened, I dipped each marshmallow pop in chocolate and then layed it on another sheet of wax paper until it set up. I used a rubber spatula to spread the chocolate out evenly on the pops. You can also pop them in the fridge to help them set up faster.
- My kids said they were even better than the ones at Disneyland. And when we ate the ones from DL we discovered that the marshmallows there are not homemade. So I really do think these are better – they are softer and if you add a little extra vanilla they are even yummier.
- Melt some white chocolate chips in a baggie, cut a hole in the tip and drizzle the white chocolate over the pops for a little added OOMPH.
- Then package them up with these FREE printable tags for ANYONE – yellow, green AND blue!
