Hi there TT&J Readers!!
I’m Kristyn from Lil’ Luna, and I’m so happy to be here today. Jen is my FAVORITE, and is one of the nicest friends ever. So grateful for her friendship and the constant inspiration she provides. The girl is a creative genius! 🙂
Today I wanted to share a simple recipe for Mint and White Chocolate Hot Cocoa. It has become the kids’ new favorite winter drink and is one that I think you’ll love. I must warn it’s a little rich, but it is so stinkin’ good that you’ll find yourself wanting more. I’ve already made it a few times in the last month, and the whole family loves it. We’ve also made it for friends and have already been asked for the recipe several times. If you love a delicious warm drink, with a hint of mint then I recommend giving this one a try. It will warm the soul!!
MINT & WHITE CHOCOLATE HOT COCOA RECIPE:
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups half & half
- 1/2 bag white chocolate chips
- 1 tsp. peppermint extract
- few drops of green food coloring
- Crushed Andes mints and Whipped Cream for garnish
- In a large pot, add milk, half & half and heat over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
- Add white chocolate chips and stir until completely melted.
- Add extract and food coloring. Stir well.
- Top with Whipped Cream and Andes. Serve warm.
Check out that Whipped Cream!!!
I know you can’t beat Hot Cocoa sometimes, but if you’re looking to change things up this is a great recipe. It’s also really festive with the green color, so it’s perfect for serving at parties.
