Fall is the perfect season for animal print. And while it doesn’t feel like it’s cooling off just yet, I know the cool weather is just around the corner. I feel like animal print is going to be big this upcoming fall!

Animal print pillows are the perfect way to try out the animal print trend for YOUR home. Pillows or pillow covers are inexpensive and an easy way to bring animal print to a room. There are many different animal prints you can choose from!

Cheetah print is one of my favorites! I’m currently planning my own DIY spin on one of my favorite entryway mat: the Dodie Coir Mat from Ballard Designs. I’m so excited to share my own take on this adorable mat… stay tuned!
Don’t be afraid to mix patterns and colors with animal print rugs. Think of animal print as a interesting neutral. Add different colors and prints for an sophisticated room!
I think a bit of animal print on a rug or runner can go a long way… and you all know how much I’ve been into the look of rugs with faded patterns lately! This Zebra Rug from Home Depot comes in three different colors and six different sizes, from runners to area rugs, and I think it would be cute in just about any room.

DIY Animal Print Ideas
I want to share a few of my favorite animal print projects from some of my favorite people!
Jennifer’s Guide for Combining Black & White and Leopard Print that she posted over at Dimples and Tangles a few years back still holds true today! Combining a bold pattern with simple colors is a recipe for success every time.
I also love Jewel’s post about her new rug this January because of how she contrasts it with her adorable animal print chairs. These colors and patterns go together perfectly! Don’t feel like you have to match your accessories to the exact colors that are in your animal print. I love the contrast of Jewel’s chairs against the blues in her room.
I really like Ashley Brooke Nicholas’ Gold Dalmation Print Storage Drawers from her Home Office Tour. A little animal print goes a long way when combined with white furniture!
When I saw these DIY Brushstroke Pumpkins over at The Merrythought it completely changed how I see fall pumpkin decor. I love how simple this craft is versus how amazing and eye-catching the results are!
