I used these layered sand candle holders on our patriotic table, but they are also so adorable on a mantel or inside your home too! To create this centerpiece I used a green garland. Here are a few magnolia leaf garlands you can choose from. Then I added a red white and blue runner. Here are some to choose from — red, white and blue runners.
Supplies to Make Patriotic Candle Centerpiece
Here’s the list of supplies to make this easy centerpiece. Don’t worry – you can get these to your door in just a couple of days. So it’s a great project to do last minute!
- Mason jars – I used one large and two smaller mason jars.
- Red Sand
- White Sand
- Blue Sand
- Battery-Operated Candles
How to Make Layered Sand Candle Holders
- Put mason jars on your work surface.
- Pour red sand into each jar.
- Now layer white sand over the red sand in each jar.
- Next pour the blue sand over the white sand in each jar.
- Put a candle into each jar.
- Arrange the mason jars on your table.
- Turn the candles on and enjoy your patriotic candle centerpiece!
