Blush Front Door for Fall

We are getting settled at the #1891AvenuesCottage. One of the first things I did was I did was paint the door. The old door color was navy which was nice, but since the rest of the house is grey and dark tan, the navy door seemed so dark.

Copper and Gold Goose-Neck Light

The next thing on the list was a new light! I ordered a copper and gold light and it set the tone for the whole porch. I love the way the copper reflects a warm glow that looks so amazing with the blush door.

Pumpkins and Fall Flowers

The cottage has wonderful wide steps that were perfect to pile with pumpkins and mums! I stacked pumpkins and flowers all the way down the steps and I love the way they look

Metallic Lanterns Guide Guests Inside

I added rose gold lanterns. They sparkle in the fall sunlight and guide visitors up the steps in the evening. I also added a larger gold lantern at the top of the porch.

Gold Autumn Sign

I created this giant sign a few years ago. I used metallic gold paint for the “Autumn” lettering. The metallic paint reflects the light and is perfect for fall.

Fall Pillows are Cozy

I found some pillow covers a couple of weeks ago in England while I was on a trip with my mom and sisters. I love the copper tones in the pillows and they are cozy on our front porch swing.

More Fall Pillows on Porch Chairs

Pillow covers are such an easy way to decorate for different seasons. I use the same inserts and switch out the covers. And the covers lie flat for easy storage! I added a couple pillows to the chairs on the other side of the porch. More lanterns, pumpkins and flowers create a cozy little spot to enjoy our hot cocoa this fall!

Copper Fairy Lights Brighten Up the Porch Steps

To add a little sparkle to the steps, I ran a length of tiny copper fairy lights. They light up the flowers and pumpkins are create a welcoming glow from the street.

Fall Stenciled Doormat

Layered rugs are perfect for a fall porch. I added a black and white checked rug and then put the Pumpkin Stenciled Rug I created a few weeks ago on top. Then layered pumpkins around the rug!

Gold Pumpkins Stand Out

I found a couple gold pumpkins the other day that were on sale. I added them into the real pumpkins and I love the contrast with the natural colors of the fresh pumpkins. You can also spray paint some real pumpkins copper or gold for the same look.

We love our updated fall porch! It’s our favorite spot to sit and watch the world go by in our new downtown home!
