Are you looking for the perfect dessert to celebrate Valentine’s Day? I love making a heart-shaped pizza for the kids. And wouldn’t a giant donut cake be perfect for dessert?? The kids (and adults) will love it!!
And one of the best things about this recipe?? It’s made with cake mix. SO easy!!
Thanks to my awesome neighbor Amy Dott, this teenager-tested-and-approved recipe will be a big hit for Valentine’s Day, birthday parties, or just when you want a fun family treat!
Here’s the recipe: the yummy cake from scratch and even the chocolate cream cheese frosting/chocolate drizzle!

Don’t have time for a from-scratch recipe? It’s OK to use a mix! Just adapt the recipe above.
I don’t know about you, but for me fitness means more than extended self-denial. If I don’t get something sweet now and then, I get extra cranky. This is a great recipe for a bit of chocolate when I need it — and it’s the perfect recipe for a party!
What do YOU do for Valentine’s Day?

How much butter is “1 cube”, for the cake recipe? Looks great, can’t wait to try it out!
One cube (stick) butter is 1/2 cup! Enjoy1
Forgot to mention I may just make this for Valentines Day I already have heart shapes same color as your sprinkles. My daughter will get a kick out of it she’s only four but really loves when I do special things like this for her. So glad I ran across this.

I absolutely love and take full advantage of my cheat day. This cake doughnut looks so scrumptious rite now and wish it was my cheat day already but it’s only Friday morning so I have about twenty four hours to go as I have designated Saturdays as my cheat day.
Thanks so much for including the from-scratch recipes! Could you please clarify if that’s a cup of butter in the cake, and what size package of cream cheese should be used in the frosting?
