I have a really great feeling about 2016. And one of my favorite traditions over the past few years has been choosing a word of the year. This year I chose BRIGHT. It sums up what I hope 2016 will be for me. So I created a printable with my word of the year and decorated my mantel at the 1905 Cottage for the upcoming year! Be Bright – Be true – Be You: Buffalo Check Plaid Printables.
I printed the Be Bright printable in a large size with my Canon PIXMA iP8720 Crafting Printer. I love being able to print large sizes for my home!
I think the black and white colors are fresh and clean to welcome a new year. I’ve found that having a Word of the Year gives me purpose for the year and is more effective for me than resolutions. It’s really fun to think about goals I would like to achieve for the year and what work would enable those goals to be met.
And I have a bit of a buffalo check obsession right now. So I thought it would be fun to put my word on the buffalo plaid check background. I also created two coordinating words that kind of support my main word too. TRUE and YOU. And I’ve included those free printables below as well.
