I had a little neighborhood get-together yesterday. I wanted to bring something extra tasty.
- 2 pounds of ground turkey
- 2/3 cups of panko bread crumbs
- 5 scallions, chopped up
- 2 large eggs
- 2 T. soy sauce
- 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 2 T. ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup of Teriyaki Sauce
- 1/2 cup dark molasses
- Combine the ground turkey in a bowl, with breadcrumbs, scallions, eggs, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and salt and pepper.
- Preheat oven to 400-degrees,
- Spray cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray, and then make 1-inch meatballs with the mixture, space them apart on the cookie sheets.
- Pop the cookie sheets in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Then add the meatballs to the crockpot.
- In a small bowl, mix up the Teriyaki Sauce and dark molasses and then pour it over the crock pot. Turn the crock pot on low or warm until ready to serve.
And I love mini meatballs at parties. But I wanted to put a spin on traditional meatballs. So I made some Asian Meatballs. I was hoping to have some left over for the next night’s dinner. But guess what?? They were all eaten up super fast. And that makes me happy – they were so good!
Here’s how I made the Asian Meatballs. These are awesome as an appetizer and also would be SO good as a main course, over rice!
Ingredients:
2 pounds of ground turkey
2/3 cups of panko bread crumbs
5 scallions, chopped up
2 large eggs
2 T. soy sauce
4 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 T. ginger
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup of Teriyaki Sauce
1/2 cup dark molasses
Directions:

These look great and I’ll be making them tonight. I’m wondering if you put sesame seeds or another type of seed in the sauce? The picture looks like their may be seeds in the molasses mixture. Thanks!

These sound delicious! My family loves Asian food, and my husband is on a no-red-meat diet, so this recipe is just perfect! Thanks so much for sharing! I am going to pin this recipe to my Pinterest recipe board!

I think I had these at a christmas party last year. They were absolutely incredible. The catering staff had a real hard time keeping them available.
