20 Wedding Dresses Second Wedding Courthouse Wedding
If you have followed along with me over the years you may know that I went through heartbreak, divorce, depression and some rough times over the past few years. I am happy to say that things are going so much better now through lots of therapy and the support of family and friends and readers. My kids and I have moved into a wonderful community and we are GREAT. I also met a wonderful guy last year who is LOYAL, HONEST and accepts and loves us UNCONDITIONALLY. And we got engaged last week!! I am so excited about the future for our new family.
Thank you for following along with me. I appreciate it SO very much.
I was so afraid of sharing my real life pain and circumstances in a world where everything is made to look perfect. But hearing from so many people about their own struggles and how they have been able to move on and heal helped me to share my real, imperfect life. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive and wonderful. You will never know how much your messages and comments have meant to me as I have gone down this hard path.
I never wanted to get married again but falling in love and meeting the right person changed that for me. I hope you might follow along as I head into a brighter future and I am so excited to see what it holds for all of us!
And now I am planning a wedding!!!! I want to keep the actual ceremony very small and special. And I knew that I didn’t want a big dress, just something understated and pretty. I also was looking for a dress that is knee-length and preferably with a little sleeve. I have been looking for simple dresses and let me tell you, they are hard to find! So I thought it might be fun to share a few understated, classic dress ideas that would be pretty for a second-time bride, also they would be great for courthouse ceremonies and older brides too (like me!)! Congratulations! Have you considered considered Eshakti? You pick your dress (often with color options) and can enter your measurements for a perfect fit! You can change the length, the sleeves, the neckline, and whether it has pockets. I’ve purchased 3 dresses from them and each has been perfect. You can’t beat the price for a custom dress!

I’m so happy you’ve found love again and I wish you all the best! I don’t envy you having to choose a dress–all those you’ve shown are beautiful! I’ve followed you for a while, but I was really touched by your personal story of heartache and healing. I also self-medicated until a couple of years ago after going through my own grief (for an entirely different reason from yours), but God helped me through it all and is still carrying me through as I cling to hope of better days.
