Hi Tatertots and Jello Readers! I’m Kami from NoBiggie and long time friend of Jen. I’m thrilled to show you how I’m decorating/crafting/loving Jen’s new paper line: Home + Made.
Having printed photos around the house is a great way to help your kids feel loved and special, and not necessarily spoiled. Every year we have a little Back To School photoshoot. The first day back to school can be filled with emotions and it usually involves early mornings, so it’s nice to take these photos before hand, on a day before school starts that isn’t already crazy. Even though our kids get their photos taken with their class, these photos are a way to highlight their personalities, plus with this digital age of photos, you can take a bunch of photos and have a bunch of options. I really like options…don’t you?!
We have this big reclaimed wood frame in our entree way with chicken wire attached to the back. It’s fun to change it up throughout the year with the change of holidays and seasons. I plan to leave this Back To School Banner and photo display up til mid September, when I’m ready to bring out the Halloween decor.
This cute black and white alphabet banner is from Jen’s new paper line. I love it’s simplicity and how it reminds me of a black chalkboard. This alphabet banner kit is awesome, because it will work other holidays, like Halloween. Plus it comes with multiples of each letter so you can spell out anything you’d like.
I printed up all my favorite photos of the kids with my favorite printer: Persnickety Prints. If you don’t have a favorite place to print photos, I highly recommend Persnickety Prints. They’re the best! Along with the banner and the photos, I made a simple apple which is basically a red circle piece of card stock, a white lined paper circle with a notch cut out from the top, a brown stem, brown seeds and a green leaf. It adds a little fun to the Back To School board.
Don’t you just love having printed photos around your house?! Yeah…me too. 🙂
This time of year we are loving all things Apple. Visit NoBiggie for our favorite apple desserts and crafts:
