Teacher Appreciation Bookmark by Positively Splendid for Tatertots and Jello

Hi, everyone! It’s Amy from Positively Splendid again, I’m so glad to be back at Jen’s place today to share another fun idea!

positively splendid

With the calendar having now turned to April, it is hard to believe the end of the school year is just around the corner. With teacher appreciation gifts, and gifts for coaches, piano teachers and more, situations requiring a meaningful, thoughtful gift are never in short supply this time of year! Today I am sharing a fun set of printable bookmarks that will allow you to wrap up a number of gifts for the special people in your child’s life. These are such a great way of saying thank you for all of the lessons taught over the course of a school year, be it in the classroom, on the field, or somewhere else entirely!

Simply by printing the bookmarks onto cardstock, cutting each out with a paper trimmer or a pair of scissors, and tucking one into a favorite book for each of the recipients on your list, you can give a gift that goes beyond a standard gift card. Either leave the bookmarks as-is for a super simple option, or punch them up a bit with a piece of ribbon tied through the top. (To see details for how to add the ribbon, check out my Valentine Bookmarks from earlier this year.) You can also laminate them to make them more durable.

I plan to have my children each select a favorite book they read during the school year to donate to their class at school’s end, along with a copy of this bookmark for their teacher. What a great way to encourage a lasting legacy of reading, and also to help teachers build their classroom libraries!

Download your free copy of the bookmarks either by clicking this link, or by clicking the image below.

  7. I made these bookmarks for my children’s teachers and they loved them! Thank you for sharing such a simple and inexpensive – yet heartfelt – memento for Teacher Appreciation Week. My husband and I have four children with a combined total of 20+ classroom and special area teachers (P.E., art, music, librarians, etc.) between them. That’s a lot of teacher appreciation gifts! I had my children write what they most appreciated their teachers for on the back of the bookmarks (ex. “Thanks for making fractions easy and fun for me!”) and attached them to a Hershey bar. My husband and I are teachers and we think a gift like this is perfect. I have bookmarks I’ve kept for years (I love to read) and I’m hoping these bookmarks will bring good memories to some wonderful teachers for years to come! ;o)

  8. Love this idea!

  9. Is there any way to get an editable version of the bookmarks? I’d like to put verses on the bottom instead of the “to & from”.

  10. Your site looks great! It’s great to see someone involved with projects and kids. On http://www.nationalgardenmonth.org/index.php?page=activities page there are some great garden projects with kids in mind. You might want to check it out! Like “Grow your own Hideout” or “Growing with Toddlers in the Garden.” Enjoy!

  11. Thank you so much for sharing this idea! We are always at a loss for teacher gifts and this is a fantastic idea. I also love the idea of donating a book to the classroom. We’ll be “stealing” that idea too!

  12. Courtney says:

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I will totally be using these at the end of the year (our Teacher Appreciate has already happened). I love the idea of donating a book to the class and I think I will give a gift card to the bookstore for the teachers. Thank you!!!

  13. Amazing post. Thank you for the teacher gift ideas and the yummy cake recipe. Can’t wait to try it.

  14. aww those little gift tags are so cute!!
