Easy 10-Minute Valentine’s Day Wall Art

Here’s an easy way to decorate for Valentine’s Day or it would even be a beautiful handmade wedding gift.

And the best part is that it only takes about 10 minutes to create!

How to Make 10-Minute Easy valentine’s Day Heart Art

Here are the instructions to make this easy heart art!

Heart Art Supplies

• Square canvas (either a 10 inch canvas or a 6 inch canvas, or both!)
• paper flowers – you can use or make paper flowers, but also small silk flowers would be pretty too. Get creative!
• 2 Squares of scrapbook paper (9.5 square for the 10 inch canvas 0r 5 inches square for the 6 inch canvas)
• Glue dots
• Print out of heart template (below)
• brads – for the canvas corners (optional)

Directions to Make Heart Art

• Cut out a square of scrapbook paper
• Print off the heart template and then staple it on top of one of the scrapbook paper squares
• Cut out the paper heart using the template
• Attach the other scrapbook paper to the canvas. You can Mod Podge it or if you have a Xyron sticker machine you can run the scrapbook paper through and then attach it to the canvas that way.
• Then attach the heart to the canvas with glue dots.
• Take the paper flowers and place them on the heart, attaching them with glue dots.
• For a final finishing touch you can add sticky dot embellishments to the corners of the canvas to look like decorative nails.
• Then hang them up or arrange them on a shelf and you have instant Valentine art.

Make a Scrapbook Mini Album with 1 Sheet of Paper 

A handmade card is a special gift to give. An even more special card idea is a MINI album! 

You can fill the album with little photos and write your memories down too. This mini album is perfect for Instax photos! It’s the same size as a regular card so you can also put it inside of an envelope and mail it too!

It’s also a really fun craft to make for a girls’ night or as a craft at a birthday party!

You can make a little photo backdrop and take photos during the party and then have the guests make the album and pop the pictures inside when the party is over!

A wonderful little keepsake of the party for them to take home as a party favor!

I showed some wonderful ladies how to make this Mini Album last weekend. It was a fun class to teach.

You can make this album in under an hour. I used the new We R Memory Keepers Cut and Score Board.

Make a Scrapbook Mini Album with 1 Sheet of Paper 

Here’s how to make this Mini Album out of ONE sheet of paper: 

1. Cut the paper 4 inches on one side. So you take the scrapbook paper from 12×12 to 8×12. The 4 x8 inch paper you just cut off will be used to make the cover of your book.
2. Score the paper down the middle of the paper, lengthwise.
3. Turn the paper sideways and score the whole paper the opposite direction in 3 inch sections.
4. Cut paper lengthwise through the score lines through three of the sections, leaving the fourth uncut.
5. Fold the sections accordion-style, making the pages of the book.
6. Glue the pages together, the end pages will be single width and will be glued to the cover in the next step.
7. Use the 12×4 piece left over from the first step and trim it to 6 1/4 inch by 4 inches – this is the cover. Score the paper in the middle twice, 1/4 inch apart, this is the spine of the book. Glue the cover onto the single front and back pages, be sure to glue the spine onto the pages in the middle.

Also — I had a few kits left over from the class I taught so I am having a little giveaway for a kit and it includes enough materials that you can make TWO mini albums out of each kit! Plus you will have extra embellishments left over. The kits use items from my new Heart of Home line. You can get the line through the Pebbles online store!! I love this line!!

Rolling Pin Housewarming, Neighbor or Wedding Gift Idea. We are getting settled into our new home and loving it. Last weekend we were able to throw a little Housewarming party to help kick off Utah’s Parade of Homes. Even though there are a lot of projects I still want to work on at our home, I thought it would be fun to open it up to celebrate one of my favorite events of the year.

It was such a fun night. I got to see a lot of friends and make some new ones too! My aunt was able to come see our new home and she brought me a little gift. This wooden rolling pin. She has one at her home and she has all of her visitors sign it and then she displays it. I just loved that idea!!

Rolling Pin Housewarming or Wedding Gift Idea. So I put the new wooden rolling pin out on my island and asked people to sign it as they came over.

Now I have it displayed with my cutting board collection and I love the tradition of having everyone sign it when they visit!

I can’t wait to see what it looks like in a year or even in 10! Such a fun way to remember the fun times at home.

This idea would be so great to give a new neighbor moving into the neighborhood. It also is a wonderful idea as a wedding gift!

Looking for something easy and handmade? Try this wedding gift project – the Mr. & Mrs. Arrow!

You can even use it as wedding or wedding reception decor, as this picture attests!

Here’s all you need to do:

Print the arrow template (below) as big as you like at your local copy shop (like FedEx Office), on your oversized office printer (like my Canon iP8720), or on your regular printer using the “tile” function.

Here’s the downloadable PDF for the wood template. Just right-click this link and choose “save link as” to download the PDF (for personal use only).

Using that template, cut the shapes out of a lightweight wood, attach with glue and paint or stain.

Then use the PNG files below to cut out vinyl on your Cricut in a contrasting vinyl color.

Affix the vinyl once the paint or stain is dry … and you can even add a clear coat of spray paint if you want at the end. Embellish with a bow if you like!

I love these hearts & arrows vases – this wedding gift how-to is simple and easy. It’s even easier if you have a vinyl cutter (like a Cricut or a Silhouette)!

Here’s all you need to do:

Pick up vases sized for what you want to do – larger for flowers, smaller for candles. I picked mine up at IKEA.

Using the free templates below, cut out the shapes you like best from the adhesive vinyl color you like best! I chose gold.

Apply and gift! They’d also make great centerpieces for a wedding shower and then can be given to the bride to take home.

Here are the free downloadable templates – as always, for personal use only. If you have a vinyl cutter you can import them into your cutting program; if you’re cutting by hand just print and use as a template.

• Small bag of flour
• Small bag of sugar
• Small bag of brown sugar
• (optional) Small bag of salt

• Small box of baking soda
• 1 gallon cookie jar (I found mine at WalMart)
• Cookie scoop (Walmart)

Here’s a little gift idea that makes a great wedding gift, a Christmas present or even a gift for yourself!

A Vintage/Modern Recipe Box.

Plus, free printable recipe dividers too!

Here’s how to make them:

I started off with these simple unfinished wooden recipe boxes.

• I spray painted the boxes.

• I printed off the “Recipes” vinyl on my Silhouette and reversed out the vinyl and stenciled the letters with craft paint.

• I sanded down the edges to give the box a vintage feel.

•  I took some lace and wrapped it around the middle of the box.

• I glued a pretty pendant from the {Styled By Tori} jewelry line on the front of the box.

• I made up some printable recipes tabs if you want to use them. Once you print them off, just trim around the edges and put them in the box.

You can fill the box with a few of your favorite recipes too — that would make a wonderful gift! Another idea you can make, is instead of stenciling the word “Recipes” on the top, you can put the couple’s initials on the front.

And here’s the printable — just download and print on cardstock!
