Happy Holidays: Pre-Thanksgiving Pie Party Tradition

It’s Megan from Brassy Apple sharing a favorite with you! BrassyApple is all about Refashion, family, and becoming your best self! Pop over to see more of my DIY tutorials and easy doable everyday style tips! Family and tradition always take front stage this time of year!

This is a tradition that should happen in every neighborhood! It’s so difficult to see everyone you want during the Holiday season and sometimes fulfilling family obligations can hinder seeing friends and neighbors. Here is the solution!

tatertotsandjello.happy_.holidays.2013

Host a Pre-Thanksgiving PIE Party! Since we never save room for dessert yet we want to try all the yummies on Thanksgiving day – give the PIE a day to shine!
Invite your friends, neighbors and family too with this darling poem. You can print out a ready made poem here or create your own!
Include the day, time and place and invite those coming to bring a pie to share. You provide the space, plates, napkins, silverware, etc. and watch a new favorite tradition unfold as all those in attendance enjoy pie and friendship.
Thanks for having me Jen!

Thanks Megan! We all have that problem of not having enough room for pie, right? What a great solution, and a fun way to get to spend more time with those we love! Megan has tons of great ideas on her blog, Brassy Apple. She even has a Refashion Your Life video series every Tuesday that is all about looking and feeling better about yourself!! Here are some of my favorite projects of hers:
how to style a maxi
This post she did with her daughter was so fun!! They both styled a simple maxi skirt two different ways. It’s amazing how they got four totally different looks out of one skirt! Her blog is FULL of ideas like this one.
snowman2
This tutorial on how to make a Magnetic Snowman is so adorable!
I can imagine how much fun this would be for kids to play with all winter long!
Christmas gift
These DIY for these Snuggly Christmas Characters that you can warm up are such a cute idea to give to friends and family!
