baked roasted pepper caprese sandwich

My kids can’t get enough of sandwiches. And while PB&J are a staple and yummy, it’s fun to come up with something new that kids and adults can both enjoy! So when Mezzetta sent me a box of their amazing products and asked me to create a sandwich, I couldn’t turn down such a fun challenge. And what’s better this time of the year than a caprese sandwich? Adding some Mezzetta roasted peppers, chili sauce and garlic spread. Yum!

And my favorite part of making this sandwich is how fast and easy it is!! It only takes 10 minutes to assemble and 10 minutes to bake. And you end up with a crunchy, flavorful and delightful creation. It’s perfect for lunch, dinner or even picnics!

I also love to use Mezzetta products to make salads. Yummy! And since I’ve been on a health kick this past year, I also love that their products pack a TON of flavor but are also gluten-free, vegetarian, low-calorie, low-carb and low-fat. They are a great way to add flavor to almost any dish.

And see how YOU can win $25,000 in Mezzetta’s “Make That Sandwich” Contest! So fun.

Here’s how to make these easy sandwiches:

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350-degrees

Half the bread and lay both sides on your work surface.

Spread one side of the bread with the Mezzetta Hot Chili Pepper Spread and spread the other with the Mezetta Savory Garlic Spread.

Then place the Mezzetta Roasted Peppers on top of the half with the Mezetta Hot Chili Pepper Spread.

Lay the mozarella slices, tomatoes and basil on top of the side with the Savory Garlic Spread.

Combine both sides of the sandwiches together and place them on a baking sheet.

Bake for about 10 minutes — when the cheese starts to melt.

Take the sandwiches out and cut them in half and serve.

And your sandwich recipe can help you win!

The Mezzetta “Make That Sandwich” grand prize winner receives $25,000, and two runner-up winners receive $1,000.
