I’m so happy to be over here at Jen’s today! She’s one of my favorite people on this planet and I’m excited to share my new obsession with all of you.
It’s stitching. I can’t stop designing patterns and stitching them.
Over at U Create I love to share what we call “free stitchables” like free printables, but the patterns are free! I thought it would be fun to share a “free stitchable” with you Tatertots and Jello fans today!
I call this pattern “Unto Us a Child Is Born”. I thought it would be nice to use non-traditional Christmas colors and it’s the perfect addition to my Christmas home décor.
SUPPLIES:
Free Stitchable Pattern
Fabric for Nativity – I used Moda Bella Solids Gray
DMC 317 – Pewter Gray
DMC 728 – Golden Yellow
DMC 726 – Topaz LT
DMC 729 – Old Gold MED
Piece of 8×10 Light Cream Fabric or Canvas Material
DIRECTIONS:
1. Trace the manger and star onto your canvas material using the pattern.
2. Cut out Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus from the pattern and trace onto fabric.
3. Cut out your fabric and stitch onto canvas outlining it with DMC 317 – 3 strands.
4. Stitch the following using 3 strands of thread…
DMC 729 – Manger

Frame it, put it on a pillow or whatever your heart desires!
The fun thing about these free stitchables is that you can adjust the size, switch the colors, go nuts with creativity!
