Parade of Homes DIY Blogger House: Video Tour

I had such a great time over the summer working on the DIY Blogger House. It was a dream come true, helping to make a home in 90 days. And since there were so many people who were out of state and wouldn’t be able to see the home in person,  I thought it might be fun to make a video house tour.

I picked up the amazing Lara of {Less Cake More Frosting} and we headed over to the home for the tour.

Now be kind (please). This video is very amateurish — and I filmed it while people were going through so it’s not professional-quality by any means. But you can see all of the different rooms and the great ideas. There are some wall treatments used in the house that I am completely in love with.

And here’s a room by room video with highlights!

For more information, check out these posts:

Shelley  shares her gorgeous space which includes the dining room and pantry inspiration and reveal.

Char and Lara collaborated on the kids’ bedrooms and they are fab! They are both sharing those spaces.

(plus the girl’s room has a wonderful story behind it)

Amy did an awesome job on the mudroom and laundry room spaces. She took spaces that can become mundane and made them light-filled happy places.

Cynthia Bee  made the outside spaces amazing with a hanging bed swing, portable fire pit, a pretty fountain and an amazing trellis she built using old doors! And the landscaping will save the home owner 40% on water bills. And she also has a FAB tutorial on how to make that bed swing – I plan on making one this coming Summer!

Here’s my Blogger House Reveal with information on the office and more!

Thanks to Bangerter Homes for taking a chance on us! They were so wonderful to work with.

And a big thanks to Brian Clark, our designer he kept us in line, worked so hard and made the home’s design pop!!

And a HUGE thank you to the folks at Daybreak — especially Cameron and Aly. It was so fun!!!

Have a Beautiful Day!!

PS — Hannah’s room is coming along!!

I learned how to make bias tape yesterday for the window seat cushion. Yay! The cushion turned out so great!!
I am excited to show you the whole room redo soon!

And the best part?? Hannah loves it so much :)

  7. Could you tell me that the interior color of the house is? It looks like it’s throughout the home. It’s a beautiful color.

    • Hi Kelly — the whole inside of the home is SIlver Fox by Benjamin Moore. It makes the home have a unified feeling :)

  8. Thank you so much for the video! I loved the tutorials, but seeing how the house flows together really made it all come alive. Utah is a bit too far from Texas for me to come see the house in person, so this was the next best thing. Great job everyone!
