“Springtime in Paris” Decor Ideas [& Enter to Win a Trip to Paris!]

Tatertots & Jello is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.

This month as part of the #MichaelsMakers team we were asked to make a project with a “Springtime in Paris” theme.

And of course, when I think of Springtime in Paris, I think of beautiful flowers, farmers markets, bikes and pretty colors. So I thought it would be fun to gussy up the front porch of the #1905Cottage a little bit for Spring!!!!

And later in the post I’ll show you how to enter to win a special Michael’s four-night trip for two to Paris, 1,000 euros, a VIP tour of the Louvre, private classes including sketching, floral arranging, baking and more! How COOL would that be????

I love tulips for Spring. And I have a little planter box in front of the cottage that is perfect for displaying baskets and pretty Spring flowers. And a big thank you to our local bike shop, Salt Cycles, (and here’s Salt Cycles on Facebook), who let us borrow these CUTE bikes for the photo shoot!

Of course my yellow vintage bistro set is so French and I loved dressing it up with galvanized tin buckets from Michaels and flowers from my local nursery – Western Gardens. It’s one of my favorite places to find fresh plants and flowers.

Instead of the traditional wreath, I made a chalkboard welcome sign. I combined some artificial plants with a chalkboard hanging sign I also found at Michaels. You can write whatever you want and erase it so easily. I love that idea!!!

I love bright colors in the spring. Tulips make me so happy. And cabbages are fun to plant for interest and color (and maybe even eating)!

You could even make an impromptu French get-together on your front porch with some croissants and fruit. Get to know your neighbors.

Isn’t this blossoming cherry tree so pretty and welcoming by a front door?? (Thanks again, Western Gardens!)

Now it’s your turn!  That’s right, you can enter to win the trip of a lifetime to Paris. How? By creating your own Parisian-inspired art, floral, baking or paper crafting project and uploading a photo to www.paris.michaels.com through March 31. You can also share your project on social using #SpringtimeInParis #Contest

What do you win? A four-night trip for two to Paris, 1,000 euros, a VIP tour of the Louvre, private classes including sketching, floral arranging, baking and more!

If you need a little Paris inspiration to get you started, take a look at some of the Springtime in Paris projects on Michaels.com (and the other fun projects linked at the end of this post).

This sounds amazing! I have to make it to Paris one day! I almost made it 10 years ago but we had an unexpected death in the family and had to cancel our trip.
    Wow.
Also, I’m trying to enter the contest but both the paris.michaels.com website is down… I think maybe too many hits on their server?

I showed this to my 10 year old daughter and she said we need to do this for our porch. She loves anything and everything to do with Paris and France. Thanks for the great ideas! And the other links to find other Paris inspired crafts and treats!

Oh fun!! I did my daughter’s room in a paris theme a few years ago and it was so fun. She loves paris too. So she loved the porch ideas!
