Welcome to the Summer of Paper series – where we’ve invited fabulous guests to create projects using supplies from my Home + Made paper decor line.
Hi creative friends, Jen here from Craft-O-Maniac. I was thrilled to get to try out the new Jen Hadfield Homemade Scrapbook collection. I was so impressed with all of it, and wouldn’t have expected anything less, but perfection from Jen. She has great taste and style and her line is amazing.
Today I am sharing my ‘DIY Very Girly Beauty Station” I used some of Jen’s scrapbook itens to dress up some exisisting items I already had in my home.
Lets take a look, at what I did. The pictures are very self explanatory and show you what I did. Here we go..
Some of Jen’s beautiful Scrapbook Supplies.
1- I started by cutting some cute scrapbook paper to match both sides of a Target dollar spot crate.
I just used one side of the crate and traced it with a pencil, and then cut it out.
2- I then placed the paper inside the crate and traced the handle area, I then cut out the handle areas with a craft blade.
3- I modpodged the whole back side of both the papers, and palced them on the crate. I smoothed out the paper, and then did one coat of modpodge over the paper on both sides .
4- When the sides dried I added the chic gold hardware.
Then with an exisiting frame I had, I added some “cut to fit” chic Jen Hadfield gold sparkly and white craft paper to the frame. I used the chipboard letters stickers to spell out the words “Red Lips!”
Then I added Jens cute gold circle stickers, that are great to seal envelopes or embelish a scrapbook page, a planner, or even a picture frame.
Here is the final “DIY Very Girly Beauty Station.”
I love how it all came together, and I even caught my 9 year old playing in it.
so fun.
Thanks,
