DIY Blogger House Update and Sneak Peek!!

Tatertots & Jello is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.

I have spent the week with the AWESOME DIY Blogger House team, getting ready for the big Parade of Homes reveal.

(me and Jess from Cox’s Corner)

It’s almost done.

And I am SO excited!!!

(Vintage Doors turned amazing arbor (it matches the front door) by the amazing Cynthia Bee)

There are so many awesome details in this house — wall treatments I have never seen before. Ceiling treatments that are simple but make a huge impact. The color scheme is so pretty too!!

The whole concept behind this house, was to show people that you CAN create a beautiful space on a budget. So we have joined forces with Bangerter Homes and the Daybreak community to create a home with decorating ideas that are beautiful but also totally achievable for the anyone. Oftentimes, parade homes are so fabulous, but also way out of the average person’s budget.

I am bursting to tell you more about this home.

And I’m so excited to be teaming up with an awesome company — Homes.com to tell you more!

My room is the office. And I have loved looking for fun ideas to incorporate into the room. One thing that I really wanted was some built-in cabinets in that space. Bookshelves are a great way to organize an office and display pretty items.

And I love painting rugs so much. I knew a painted rug would be fun for that space.

Plus, I made a chandelier!!

And I refinished a pretty desk too. It’s amazing the transformation that some paint, steel wool and satin polyurethane can make!!

I hope you can come check it out in person if you are local, and if not – I am excited to post reveal pictures soon!!

And there’s even a DIY Barn Door (I’m so excited for that. And it’s going to be an AMAZING color):

We also have a fun DIY Blogger House Pinterest Board. Where we have pinned ideas that have given us inspiration for many of the projects in the house!

If you are looking for more DIY, organizing ideas and home articles, be sure to check out Homes.com. A few of my favorite bloggers write for Homes.com, including one of my BFF’s Shelley of House of Smiths, who is also on the DIY Blogger House design team.

Jen, this looks like an amazing project! I so agree, way too many of those show homes are filled with too much $$$ and not enough DIY! Looking forward to seeing what you did w/your space and checking out the whole thing.
