Chevron Christmas Memo Board

Hi TT&J readers! Isn’t Jen is the biggest blogging sweetheart ever?! Love chatting with her at blogging conferences!

I’m Linda from Craftaholics Anonymous and I’m excited to share a simple, yet very stylish Chevron Christmas Memo Board with you that is sure to keep me organized this crazy holiday season! Every year I vow to be more organized, so I’m hoping this chevron memo board will do the trick. {haha!}

Holiday Memo Board

I know Jen is a huge fan of chevron, so when I got the opportunity to guest post on here, I knew this would be the project I shared! You just can’t go wrong with a chevron memo board in Christmas colors, right?

Quick Tutorial

To make this easy memo board, I used 12×12 wood frame, 12×12 sheet of corkboard, 1″ painters tape, paint, glitter paint, hot glue gun, and felt trim.

  1. Paint the 12×12 wood frame red. Then apply 1-2 thick coats of clear glitter paint. {this takes awhile to dry! you can use a hair dryer to speed up the process}
  2. Measure and tape off a chevron pattern on the cork board using painters tape.
  3. Then paint the exposed cork board in alternating colors. {I used 4 different colors} Allow paint to dry then carefully remove the painters tape.
  4. Make sure the glitter paint is completely dry, then hot glue coordinating felt trim around the inside of the frame.
  5. Insert the chevron cork board into the frame.

Then use sewing or push pins to pin up recipes, Christmas cards, photos, lists, or anything that helps you stay organized this holiday season! Almost like a real life Christmas Pinterest board. ha! {you can find me on Pinterest here}

Hope you enjoyed this fun craft! I love sharing crafts, DIY, and holiday ideas on Craftaholics Anonymous! And if you have a craft question, post it on the Craftaholics Anonymous Facebook page! We have quite the crafting community on there and love to help each other out.
