Easy 5-Minute Gift Tags! Create bright and happy gift tags for anyone using paper and embellishments from The Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby!
Easy 5-Minute Gift Tags
Up your gift-giving game by creating the cutest bright and happy gift tags! The tags I created were so fast and easy to make! I like making a batch of gift tags to have on hand so I can add them to a gift for someone’s birthday, a special occasion or just to brighten up someone’s day!
The Paper Studio
You know I love Hobby Lobby! Today I am sharing Hobby Lobby‘s amazing paper department – The Paper Studio. Not only does The Paper Studio line have the most beautiful papers, but there are hundreds of stickers, letters, card-making supplies, embellishments, die-cuts and even felt ball garlands. Seriously, I love hitting The Paper Studio section every time I shop at Hobby Lobby!
The Paper Studio Items Are On Sale
This week the whole Paper Studio section is on sale for 50%!! Yes! Run over and stock up for paper projects this year! And to celebrate such a great sale, I teamed up with Hobby Lobby to share this quick and simple 5-Minute Gift Tag project made with items from The Paper Studio!
La Petites Dimensional Stickers
The star of these gift tags are the La Petites Dimensional Stickers! First of all, there are so many to choose from in all kinds of themes. I chose bright birthday and friends ones that I thought my daughters could use to give their friends. The designs are just adorable! I love the foam material that the stickers are made out of and how thick and dimensional they are. They really POP out on the gift tags.
Easy 5-Minute Gift Tags Supplies
Here’s the list of what The Paper Studio items you need to make these adorable gift tags:
- La Petites Dimensional Stickers
- Tropics Cardstock. I used the 65 lb.
- White Cardstock
- White Twine
- Flea Market Mini Tassels
- Assorted Buttons (The Paper Studio has an amazing assortment of these!)
- Tape or glue dots
Cut Out Tag shapes
You can cut the paper by hand into tag shapes, use a craft cutting machine to cut the paper or use a tool like this banner punch board.
Cut Two Sizes of Tags
I layered the colored tag over a white tag that is 1/2 inch bigger. The colored tags are 3.5″ wide x 4.5″ long. The white tags are 4″ wide x 5″ long. Glue the colored tag on top of the white tag and punch a hole at the top.
Decorate the Tags
Add La Petites Dimensional Stickers, buttons and tassels! It’s so easy! I used hot glue to attach the buttons and tassels.
Here are close-ups of the tags I made. I used a few different elements on each card to make them really happy and fun! I love those musical note buttons. They are perfect if you are making gift tags for teens or tweens!
I also used a lot of rainbows and clouds! I layered The Paper Studio washi tape under some of the elements to give the tags even more details!
These gift tags are also a perfect idea if you are throwing a birthday party and want to send the guests home with a little thank you treat!
Attach Tags to Bags
I used gift bags that you can also find in The Paper Studio section. I tied the tags onto the bags with white twine.
