3 No-Closet Entryway Organizing Ideas
Entryways are a very important part of our homes; serving as the first impression guests receive and the last stop before heading out into the world. Yet, in many homes, they often lack the organizational ability needed to keep clutter at bay. With just a bit of creativity and strategic planning, you can transform your no-closet entryway into a functional and stylish space. We just transformed our back entryway from a cluttered eyesore to one of my favorite parts of our home. And it wasn’t hard! In this post, I’m sharing three innovative entryway organizing ideas that will revolutionize the way you approach this oft-neglected area of your home.
Idea #1: Boho Rattan Shoe Cabinets with Mirror
Black Rattan Shoe Cabinet | Accordion Hooks | Small Cordless Table Lamp| Entryway Mirror with Shelf
One of the most effective ways to maximize space in a no-closet entryway is by investing in multifunctional furniture. For our entryway, we opted for two boho rattan shoe cabinets adorned with a sleek mirror above. These cabinets not only provide ample storage for shoes and boots but also serve as a stylish focal point. Look at what thes pace looked like before!
The mirror, complete with a shelf, is functional to keep sunglasses or keys but also is fun to decorate for the holidays.
To enhance functionality, we incorporated a rechargeable LED lamp with three different light settings. Our back entryway doesn’t have an electrical outlet, so this rechargeable light lets us illuminate this area.
With shoes neatly tucked away in the cabinets and coats hung on hooks by the door, our no-closet entryway has been transformed into an organized oasis that sets the tone for the rest of our home. You can learn more about our back entryway makeover here — How to Organize a No-Closet Entryway.
Idea #2: Hall Tree Organizing Idea
Entryway Hall Tree | Umbrella Stand | Entryway Mirror | Olive Tree | Concrete Planter
If you’re looking for a more traditional yet equally efficient organizing solution, a hall tree might be just what you need. This hall tree features a bench with hooks behind, providing a convenient spot to sit while putting on or taking off shoes.
Beneath the bench, there’s ample space to stow away shoes, keeping them out of sight and neatly organized. Meanwhile, the hooks offer a designated spot for hanging coats, scarves, and bags, preventing them from cluttering up the space.
TI think every entryway needs a mirror. Not only does this serve a practical purpose, allows you to quickly check our appearance before heading out, but it also visually enlarges the space and reflects natural light.
An umbrella stand tucked neatly underneath the mirror, ensures that rainy days don’t dampen an entryway’s tidy appearance. An olive tree in a chic concrete pot, adding a touch of organic charm.
Idea #3: Cubby Bench with Round Mirror
Cubby Bench | Shoe Cubbies | Coat Rack | Round Mirror | Pillow Covers
For those seeking a seamless blend of style and functionality, a cubby bench with a round mirror might be the perfect solution. Positioned near the entryway, this piece of furniture offers a convenient spot to sit while donning or putting shoes on or off.
Above the bench, a round mirror serves both practical and aesthetic purposes, allowing for quick hair and makeup checks while adding a touch of elegance to the space.
To the side of the bench, a shoe cubby provides dedicated storage for footwear, keeping them neatly organized and easily accessible. Meanwhile, an umbrella stand and coat rack on the opposite side ensure that outerwear remains tidy and within reach.

All great ideas! I am an organizer, and it is hard when there is no storage in the entryway. I especially like that rattan shoe organizer (prettier than the white IKEA one), and the shoe cubbies. Do the cubbies come in any other color? The white tends to show the dirt (from the shoes) quickly. Love all these, though. I like the cordless light as well. So many hallways don’t have outlets!!!

Hi! Yes the cubbies come in a few other colors like black and a barn wood color too 🙂
