Happy Holidays TT&J peeps! I’m Jessica from Mom 4 Real, where I share budget friendly DIY projects, crafts, home decor ideas, and recipes. I have been a regular contributor here at TT&J, and I am so happy to be here spreading a little holiday cheer with santa’s sled centerpiece! Christmas truly is my favorite holiday…I just love the feeling of joy in the air this time of year! Putting together this Santa’s Sled Centerpiece was so much fun! This year I want our home to feel like a winter wonderland, so I am leaning toward white, silver, and light aqua touches all around the house. Let me show you how I created this fun, sparkly vignette…
I found this unfinished wooden sled and reindeer at Michaels. The deer cost less than $3 each, and the sled was $4. I immediately grabbed them up. I had no idea what I was going to do with them, but that was a steal I couldn’t pass up.
I started by painting the sled and deer with white acrylic paint.
Next I took plastic wrap and covered the wood parts up, then I used silver chrome spray paint to change the metal on the deer and sled.
I then painted glue onto the backs of the deer and the edges of the sled, then the glittering ensued! Oh my goodness…I do love the glittering!
I wanted to add a Santa’s toy sack to the back, but didn’t really want to sew one. I went to my garage to grab some burlap and was trying to figure out what I use to give the sack some form, when I spied an unused jar on one of the shelves. I grabbed it up and cut a square of burlap and wrapped it right around the jar. I tied it off with a silver ribbon, and TADA…an instant Santa sack!
I sat it inside of the sled and added two silver spray painted pine cones…I think they look like silver Christmas trees!
All we are missing is Santa! I just love the magical feel in my breakfast nook with all of the silver and white…it really does feel like my very own winter wonderland!
Happy Holidays to you and yours…I hope you’ll come by and visit me at Mom 4 Real!

Thanks Jessica! I just love how she used the silver glitter to give the reindeer and the sleigh a little sparkle! Such a fun piece! Jessica really does have tons of great ideas on her blog Mom 4 Real. Here are a few of my favorite projects of hers:
I just love how she used an old headboard and turned it into a DIY Coat Rack! How clever!!
Such a quick and CUTE fix for an entryway or mudroom.
This Christmas Peppermint Fluff Dip looks so yummy! Such a simple recipe, but perfect for snacking at Christmas time.
And, I just had to feature these Stacked Christmas Tree Topiaries that she had on her table with her Reindeer Centerpiece. They are just gorgeous and you can add silver just about anywhere in your decor and it will look beautiful!
